Balls - I need some
I want some!
Just a few for some sticky polishes that need a bit of shaking.
Anyone know where I can get half a dozen without paying loads for postage, and without buying from some dodgy looking outfit in HK or similar - where I'm scared they will be made of something that weeps and ruins the polish?

Re: Balls - I need some
When I needed some, I just got some stainless steel ball bearings off ebay - really cheap and perfect for the job (really long time ago though now so I can't remember which seller I used - I'll have a look in my history when I get a minute, see if I can track them down...).
As I think a few people have said, anything specifically for "nails" bumps the price up loads - get something that's intended for something a bit more industrial and you're looking at a much more sensible price
The only problem is trying to work out what size to get - needs to be big enough to do the job, but not so big they won't fit down the neck of the bottle...
Edit: Looks like I used a seller called bearingstation who don't have any items for sale at the moment

Re: Balls - I need some
My concern with just buying any old balls is - will they dissolve in the polish & change the colour? I'm sure someone had some polish where this had happened & the indie maker then switched balls (unless I dreamt this whole thing which is possible!)

Re: Balls - I need some
I think decent quality stainless steel should be ok - when I get home, I'll check the ones I've added balls to and make sure they're still the colour they should be

Re: Balls - I need some
Mica Moma do giant balls which are awesome, and you only need one. I don't know how much they are though.
Re: Balls - I need some
£1 for 10, but £3.50 postage, so not worth it unless you're getting other stuff!
Re: Balls - I need some
Mica Moma is where I started - but they want their standard £3.50 postage for 10 balls and won't budge - even though I reckon it will cost 69p to acutally post them.Sam wrote:£1 for 10, but £3.50 postage, so not worth it unless you're getting other stuff!
