Re: Latest purchases
I had a pitstop in Poundland on the way home from the train today and for once they had a whole bunch of pretties:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
so I found Sinful Colors - Pull Over, Paradise, Happy Ending, Ciao Bello, Snow Me White and Sour Grapes pink striper.
also Sally Hansen Insta-dri - Blue By and Blue Streak
and Rimmel - Purple Rain
There was one which was separated and gloopy - sounds like the ones mmmmchoc spotted. Oh and heaps of OPI shatters, but only in black, white and a purpley colour. I'm so excited we never have more than one pretty, usually just the scented polish and a few old SH that look like old lady varnishes (and about the same age).
Plus my Seche Restore arrived along with the Barry M Denim (which I had to add for the free postage, obs)

Just having a little top up SamSam wrote:You setting up your own salon Loola? Flipping heck lol. What are those paper print manicure things?
The paper print thingies are for the transfer manis usually done by the intrepid with newspaper but the print comes out back to front. These are packs with 4 designs in and they cost about (oh bugger, I can never find the right characters...) one Euro 25. The transfer solution wasn't much dearer either. I got them online from Germany with the other stuff as I was desperate for the gel at home stuff - but will hopefully be able to get more next week if anyone wants any
Wow stationaryace, you really did ace it in Poundland today! Best Poundland haul I've seen for a while - I want your Sinful striper!! (and polishes!).

No Problem Han, will have a look in Kruidvat (think Dutch version of Savers, it's a veritable treasure trove) on Saturday. They have essence and Catrice

Re: Latest purchases
Apparently you can do the same with prints from a laser printer and some kind of alcohol (I think it's the stuff you used to use with those VCR head cleaning tapes - I'll google it later if anyone wants to know) - I've not actually got round to trying it yet thoughLoolaBeanbag wrote:Just having a little top up SamSam wrote:You setting up your own salon Loola? I'd read that other alcohol could be used mmmmmchoc, but the dinky little transfer solution bottles were too cheap to turn down I'm a sucker for a nice little bottle

Re: Latest purchases
I completely forgot to post about my hair curler on Sunday.
I brought the Babyliss Secret Curl.........it's FAB!
I've never been able to curl my hair, but this is so easy.....at £120, it's pricey, but I think worth it.
Here's a before and after pic....you can kind of see the curls....sorry it's not the best pictures!

Re: Latest purchases
Mine too Shoppers. I bought Totally Tubular too and was near on horrified to find micro tinsel/bar stuff in it - that wasn't mentioned in the description and I picked this one as it was one of the few without sticks in it. Even though it's barely there I'm not sure I can get over it. It's a stunner of a colour otherwise.shoppingaddict wrote:My Harlow & Co/KB Shimmer order arrive today. It's gorgeous Sue, all foresty and dotty and squishy! The blue one's fab too - very sparkly. Might keep me off the gels for a day or two

Re: Latest purchases
I went into Claire's today to take advantage of their 3 for 2 sale but they had really boring polishes. Two weeks ago they had loads and I struggled to stop myself buying more than the 8 I got, this week I struggled to find 2 I liked! Still, I soldiered on and bought one I liked, a neon orange, and one I wasn't sure about but it looked interesting, which is a nude/beige with black and silver glitter. On the plus side they were BOGOF so worked out at 50p each.
I also bought a green Revlon (imaginatively called Emerald) in Poundland. Slim pickings there too. But my latest Avon order came today which contained two polishes: Mandarin Magic, and their new flakie, Opalesce (which feels like only half a name to me). I have eight flakes already though and it's not like any of them.

I saw one of these being used in Boots today and was just talking to my mum about it. It looks really cool.Charlilouise wrote:I completely forgot to post about my hair curler on Sunday.
