Enchanted Polish

So on my US brand research I came across this and there seems to be mass drama over it. Llarowe has stopped selling it for some shady reason and there is some drama over charity funds to Talia Joy and legal action.

What's the story and why is her polish so special? Just look like holo's which seem better elsewhere...  What am i missing?

I wonder about this too, it's so fucking expensive lol

I dunno what the hype is about, maybe not many places sell it and it's not easily available so people create crazy obsessions with wanting it? Dunno, just a guess.

Oh wow you should see the comments on Llarowe. I love nail polish but its not the end of the world is it. The drama makes me steer away from the brands involved. Just looking at Elevation which looks pretty but getting a bottle is so complicated, just not worth the hassle

Yeah I saw it all kick off this morning. The polishes look really dull and boring to me, not sure why people are so desperate for them!

They are quite nice, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't all that when I got one.

I purchase Echinops yesterday from Elevation. Can't wait for that motherhubbard to arrive.

I've seen a couple of enchanteds before that I liked the look of, but they were either sold out or mega-expensive.

I think Llarowe stopped stocking Enchanted because of the childish way people reacted when they couldn't buy the polish they wanted. I think she's absolutely right to do so - why should she have to take all that shit from her customers? It was exactly the same when the Llarowe situation got out of control last year.

Tbh these sort of people with their 'entitlement' attitde turn me right off the polish community. It's just a nail polish, ffs, there aren't many being made so they sell out quick. It's not the end of the world if they don't get one - but they seem to think it is.

And for the record, the polishes are OK, but not that special. I have a few I bought before they got crazy-popular. I don't even like the newer ones she's releasing - they just look like mediocre holos in boring colours. There are pictures of the ones I do have on my blog if anyone is interested - Octopus' Garden and Spinkled are the best colours, imo.

Elevation, on the other hand, are lovely, and Lulu is a real sweetie. I've bought lots from her, no drama.

I am 50/50 on this to be honest.

Yes, some of the people on Llarowe's site get a bit airy. But, there are many many thing she could do to prevent there being a debacle like there was the other night. Also, coming out and telling people to take a chill pill will only annoy them further.

Enchanted is limited availability, we all know that. But, is it a case of short supply, or high demand? If Llarowe are getting 1000 bottles a month, that is a decent level of supply, if she is getting 5/6 of each colour then I wouldn't entertain stocking it because it is clearly going to cause stress and drama.

For me I would
1 - not launch so close after having a new website released, which you know is struggling with demand anyway
2 - not give launch times. Confirm a date that it is going to happen. This will take the pressure off the server, because there wont be people sitting there pressing refresh constantly
3 - better communication.

I am equally pissed off by the attitude of the entitlement people and the people who seem to think that Llarowe is doing them a favour. None of the retailers are doing you a favour, its business, thats me included. As much as people have the right to compliment, they also have the right to complain about the service they have received too without people jumping on them telling them they are wrong...

Well, thats my twopennth anyway.
