Perhaps, I may look into it at some point. My life is a little in limbo at present, in a nutshell I live in Stoke, my OH was made redundant a while back and managed to get a new job in Coventry. Only issue is its a 2 year temporary contract. They have intimated that he will be made permanent but for now he commutes, its a killer, he leaves home at 7am and gets in at 8pm. As there was a very good chance we'd be upping sticks and moving my job hunting went on hold for a while until we knew what was going on, that and my DD has had no end of health issues meaning I'm a constant Taxi lol
Anyway, he's got an interview locally on tuesday, same job, no commuting, better pay. It would turn our lives around so I'm crossing everything now for a bit of a break.

We've had 3 years of hell really where if it could go wrong it did. We are well overdue a change of luck now so hopefully this will be it. Its so hard for OH, he gets in, has dinner and he's in bed for 9.30. He's constantly knackered. He won't stay down there because he wants to be at home, which is fair enough I guess. We'd even considered renting but by the time its all sorted his contract could be up. I'm just fed up of being in limbo I suppose.

Fingers crossed for your OH getting a job closer to home! Must be awful doing that commute every day.

I have elvish script tattoo'd around my left wrist so I'm quite good at writing it, just not reading it

There's no way I could do that. It looks amazing.

Now there's an idea for a stamping plate. LOTR symbols, writing etc. Off to google it to see if it exists...

I have an evenstar symbol on my wrist as well Planning the Tree of Gondor on the other wrist if I ever manage to find a phrase thats meaningful to me to go with it.

As an aside, I have ASCII scripting installed on my Mac so I can translate and screencap anything you like in elvish script if there is anything specific anyone ever wants?

This is my left wrist, the script runs all around it meeting with the evenstar in the middle:

There is a meaning behind it, I had it done a year to the day after my Dad passed away. If you haven't seen the movie the evenstar was given by Arwen to Aragorn to carry with him so he would always remember her, I felt that having it on my wrist I would always remember my Dad. The script took me a long time to research, translate and write (getting it to the perfect size so it all fitted was a nightmare!), it basically translates to "To find you I just look inside my heart".

As I said I want a tree of gondor in the same style on my right wrist, as soon as I find some words that I like and have some money I will get it done.

And me! But isn't that how remembereance tatoos should be?

sort of makes me think he's with me in an odd way, and I do look at it and smile now. We'd been through so much, I nursed him with terminal cancer because he wanted to die at home. It was a very hard time and as I'm an only child I had nobody to share the burden with other than Mum. Not a day goes by when I don't miss him.

Anyway, getting maudlin now lol
