So night before last I painted all 10 nails with one coat of Essie fill the gap, 3 coats of Cirque fascinations St (effing horridly patchy and difficult to apply) and 5 different topcoats.
L to R on both hands (so reversed fingers)
China Glaze, CND, Essie, Nubar, Out the Front Door.

Application:
China Glaze - pretty good, smells rather nice (odd)
CND - bit watery but OK - but it looks less shiny than the rest.
Essie - OK but the brush is a bit thin and stingy. Both on the middle fingers so the fact I managed to squish the end of one could be just coz its the one that sticks out farthest (I didn't think this trial through when I ended up with the same on both middle fingers)
Nubar - nicest of the lot in terms of texture & brush.
OTFD - used as a control as its my current bottle of regular topcoat. Pretty much in the middle.

As of this evening:
L forefinger has a chip - its the Newbar which is a shame as I liked the application best.
R middle tiny chip and a little tipwear - but to be fair they stick out farthest so are usually the first to go.
L thumb maybe the tiniest bit of tip wear.

No evident shrinkage on any. Better include Seche in the next trial!

So do I leave them on for a reasonable trial period, or start again with the new lovelies through the door from Loola?

Interesting, sounds like you're not terribly impressed by any of them Han?

Have you tried a different basecoat with the Cirque Fascination Street? I sometimes find the basecoat I use can affect how well the polish applies.  scratch

I've found the Nubar one to be really good! Only really use it and the OPI top coat - when I use a top coat which is rare.

Interesting - the OPI rapiddry doesn't work for me at all.

Not yet. I did wonder if it was taht as I have a Dance Legends colour changer that won't work over this base coat at all.

to be fair I think I'm expecting a miracle! Something that looks & applies like Seche but doesn't shrink. I suspect its not chemically possible Sad

So has anyone ever tried this stuff:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Its a different version of Seche that the few reviews on Makeupalley rave about.

At the moment I have china Glaze topcoat on all my fingers and the CND stuff on my toes.
Day 2 and fingers haven't chipped & its still pretty shiny and only the teeniest bit of tipwear on my index and middle fingers.
The CND has a mess of several layers of blobbed on things trying to cover chips then a coat of icky glitter to disguise the lumps & bumps. Not holding out much hope for this lot;)

No esperience of it myself but a few on the girls on a NP group on FB that I'm a member of are swearing by this as an alt to Seche. Personally I find Seche to be really good for me and I don't tend to get much shrinkage but it might be worth a go if people are in the market for a new one to try out?

Oh heck yet another one to try! Waht's the FB group? I'm already a member of lots and can't remember seeing any comments about this.
I have found it cheaper on amazon with Prime so free postage. Hmmm.
Oops.

Is it bad that I can't remember! I'm a member of that many groups that it all seems a bit of a haze! I'll see if I can findthe original post via my notifications as I'm sure I commented on it and let you know...
