Jewellery making

Post  Jane on Fri Oct 05, 2012 4:39 am

Girls, I've seen a few of you make necklaces with polish but I wondered if you had ever come across 'shrinkles' before? A friend sent a big box of random craft items to me and in it was a lot of shrinkles paper. You draw on your design, pop it in the oven for a few moments and it shrinks to a hard plastic.

Just been doodling while I was waiting for some nails to dry and this is my first attempt, which I'm really impressed with....

So, who does jewellery, what do you make and can I see it? I think I'm about to start a new addiction....

I make nail polish jewellery and I also do glass work and I am going to be starting lamp working.

I will post some pictures over the weekend of things I've made.

I love your shrinky, it's fab!

I loved it so much I'm making another for me Very Happy

I do fancy a crack at the polish jewellery though so I'd love to see some of yours Charlilouise! I'm currently experimenting with shrinkle paper to see if nail polish and acrylic paint work on it Smile

I make nail polish jewellery. I've made quite a bit for myself and for friends/family. Here are some pendants I've made (sorry, the pics are a bit rubbish).

Loads of "how to" videos on youtube, just search for nail polish jewellery. I'm off to google "shrinkles" now, that looks fab.

Does anyone still make their own polish jewellery?

I bought a few rings & pendants from Ebay. This one's my first ever necklace. I made it for a friend who's emigrating next week, do you think she'll like it?

If anyone knows any good sites to get supplies, that would be greatly appreciated Smile

Oh my word, you lot are sooooo talented!
I used to make jewellery before the children arrived, but don't have time now. I do love shrinkies/shrinkles though, I have been know to nick them off the children Embarassed
