Why oh why
did I stick a set of false nails on yesterday in a fit of panic before going out (only had half hour to get ready). Do you think I can get the wotsits off!!!!!!
I said this last time, but I am saying it again. I am never ever putting these blinking things on again.

Nope these wotsits are going nowhere fast. Have soaked thing in acetone remover till the skin on my fingers withered and still they are going nowhere.

Re: Why oh why
When I use falsies they usually fall off before I've even put the bits away
Which ones did you buy?
Can you file/buff them down to try and get them off?

Re: Why oh why
have you tried to soak some cotton wool in acetone, then wrap them in silver foil? heat it up to get it all to work?
Re: Why oh why
Have lost the box so cant remember what ones they were!!!!
I wrapped them in acetone remover yesterday but not the tinfoil as well. Will give that a go. Thank you. Is it worth soaking my fingers in warm water first. Would that help the glue soften?
Is there a stronger acetone remover I can use? am using a branded one at the mo so not a shops own.
Oh oopsie - OH has just looked over my shoulder and said how does the nail forum relate to college work (am claiming to be doing my homework!!!)

Re: Why oh why
try pure acetone if you can get your hands on any (cheap on ebay but you'd have to wait on delivery), the other stuff is pretty weak!
mix a bit of it in a bowl of warm water with a towel over the top and soak your nails in that and every so often take them out and buff/file them and scrape off the falsies
file the falsies before you start to rough up the surface of them so the acetone soaks in

I have some full strength acetone. When I open it to tidy my nails it makes the back of my throat scratchy.

Re: Why oh why
How are you getting on? TBH if they are that difficult to remove I need to know what make these nails are so that I can buy them for myself!! Normally they fall off mega quick on me!
Re: Why oh why
yay they are finally off. About 7 of them pinged off of there own accord, the others started to loosen so they were filed, soaked in remover and coaxed off!!!
Thanks for all your help ladies. never again!!
