Half Moon Week

I wasn't looking forward to this week's challenge, I've not been keen on a lot of the half moon manis I've seen. Some of them just look like a regular mani that's growing out (my worst nightmare, that someone would look at my nails and think "scruffy cow, she's had that on for a fortnight"). I looked at a load of pics on google this morning and came to the conclusion that it's the ones that have a neutral/light colour on the half moon that run the risk of your nails looking like the ones on the slattern who served me in B&M Bargains this afternoon ( ). So after much agonising and pairing of colours I went for dark green (Essie Going Incognito) on the half moon and a lighter holo green (Nubar Reclaim ) above it. Against all the odds, I love it. Why haven't I tried this before? I'm gonna half moon all the time now, you're going to get so sick of seeing endless versions of this from me!

Looks good! What did you use for your template?

Ring reinforcers, same as I use for a french mani. They work a treat.

Well after much effort I finally managed to find some ring reinforcers! Woohoo. Painting later.

That's not ugly, I love that! I saw a similar one somewhere recently, but they'd used white as a base colour. I prefer the blue.
