Nails and Nibbles

Post  kissmenow9 on Thu Nov 15, 2012 3:34 am

I've put this in the blog roll post but I thought I'd put a post up for when I update my blog Smile

I'm trying to get back into it, been a very bad blogger these last few months as life has always got in the way but I'm getting back now!

Here's the post I did today; the photograph is appalling but honestly I don't care Embarassed just needed to write and post something!

It's so... grey and boring! I don't have a decent green up here so I couldn't do what I wanted (red + green with gold dots accent nail) so I got in a bit of strop and just picked up the first two polishes that were kinda similar and went with that Laughing

Yeah, it is a little bland isn't it? I prefer more smoky colours like city heights by jacava (my fave!) just got a pile of them the other day, some for family - most for me!!! bounce

Post  kissmenow9 on Mon Dec 10, 2012 1:02 pm

Having a bit of a late night posting/blog switching around session.

I've added some links down the side of some blogs I love to read, added a few new buttons... I'd love a new layout if I'm honest as mine isn't very professional but that's something to worry about at a later date!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I'll do a proper write up of it tomorrow when I can get some better pictures!

Not really christmassy, but a review of the lovely Fantasy Fire polish Smile I'm also selling a couple of bottles on ebay (link in post) - I think I'm in love with this polish!

I do love Fantasy Fire! I learnt too that it needs to go over a base colour, I did about 5 coats the first time Smile)

Fantasy Fire looks lovely - I'm hoping to get the Layla Ceramic Effect The Butterfly Effect which looks quite similar but with flakies instead. Smile

Re: Nails and Nibbles

It was so pretty, and it lasted pretty well too! It's off now so I can give my nails a little bit of a rest before I put my next one on tomorrow.

In the mean time, I've added a new page - purchases of 2013. I'm going to keep track of all the new polishes I buy in 2013 in the vain effort that if I know I have to add it to a public webpage, I might curb my spending a little!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Right, new untried post up!

I really need to get more creative in my nail art. Over the last month or so my creativity has plummeted in regards to my nails - but there's so many new techniques out there now that I have no excuse! It's just finding the time to do it. Which is ridiculous because I'm not a massively busy person!

I go through phases like that, and sometimes wonder if the nail painting obsession has run its course, and then I'll get inspiration from somewhere and I'm off again! Like I was struggling with ideas recently, but since I got the idea for the Ferrero Rocher manicure, I've just been churning them out lol. It's good to do something that forces you to be a bit creative I think, like getting involved with a challenge or something.

By the way, very pretty colour Smile

I did a set of falsies last week almost identical to those for Ellie Very Happy AND I used the Barry M glitter. I'm very meh about Valentines day, just an excuse to sell wilted flowers at extortionate prices Rolling Eyes

Very cute though!

Great minds think alike eh!

Not fussed about it myself, but when everyone around you is all loved up with their partners and yours is 250 miles away it gets a little depressing... Me and my two single housemates have a Dominoes and movie night planned for Thursday, lol.

Lusting badly today! I want them all NOW!

On a self imposed no buy though Sad Sob. Once I've graduated I've promised myself I can have two things - one of the polishes off my list (probably will be either Lambada or Hera) and The Sims 3 Generations Very Happy

No buy until May? Sad

I am terrible at sticking to no buys, I usually end up justifying something with "well I just won't eat/put petrol in my car" etc Laughing

Going to be hard work but I am now back in the 'very close to getting overdraft charges' category Sad Which I tried sooooooo hard to avoid, I had a good couple of weeks at the end of Jan and the start of Feb but since then it's just been spend spend spend, slipped back into old habits and nearly died when I checked my bank account the other day. affraid
