The Leightons are very satisfying to store! All lined up like mummy's little soldiers. And room for more yet...

I'm going to get a stash soon! What's your favorite shade out of all of those?

And a very expensive stash from the looks of it lol. If you're looking to down size, then we're all here to help of course
Re: Um. Whoops. How did this happen?
Mine I tell you. Mine! My precioussssssssss....
Actually, I was thinking when sorting these (new storage drawers bought) that I very rarely pay full price for polish. There are a few of Nails Inc's 'lucky dips' there, the six-bottles-for-£15 jobs. A LOT of magazine freebies (Leighton Denny, Nails Inc, Ciate, Jessica - then stroll round distributing duplicate copies of the magazines to various dentist's/doctor's waiting rooms). QVC TSVs for Leighton Denny and OPI, and I lurk on eBay and places like Fragrance Direct online for Essie (£1.99? Yes please!), OPI, Butter London, Jessica, Sally Hansen and the like. TKMaxx can be good for a rummage too.
Another good source is Christmas gift sets that come up in the January sales. Last year I got a very plush Mavala gift set which had £30 worth of polish in it, along with about another £35 worth of base/top coats, quick dry, hand cream and so forth for £15. Sold to the drooling woman who can't get to the till fast enough. That was Debenhams, I think.
It has taken a few years, which is why looking at the collection like this was a bit of a shock! They crept up on me...
As for a favourite shade: absolutely no idea!

I got my Leighton Dennys from TK Maxx, £11 for 3 and a Matte top coat, don't mind if I do.
Re: Um. Whoops. How did this happen?
I think we could do with a separate photo of all those LDs. Lined up so we can see the colours. Please.

I think this is called Glamorous? Glamour Girl? I'll check. Glamourpuss! That's it.

High Maintenance

Just Perfect (what its called, not my application, which is frankly pants)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Oh, not LD but had to have it because of (a) the name and (b) it goes with my dog: Zoya Jules

Doesn't really suit me though! Hey ho.
Please excuse my rubbish application and icky fingers: I get terribly dry hands, which never get any better at putting the paint on!
I will try and do bottle shots of the LDs in the light tomorrow.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Not Tonight, Supermodel, Little Minx, Butterfly Wings, Stormy Weather, It Girl, Starkers, Your Planet or Mine, Sugar and Spice, Indecent Exposure
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Undercurrent, Sensual Glam, Diamond Rose, Diamond Ivory, Zero Gravity
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Creme de la Creme, Romantic Glow, All About Me, Just Perfect (again), Striptease, Bronzed Babe, Bestseller, Rebel (again)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Misbehaving, Pleasing Purple, Sugar Babe, Vamp, I Love Juicy, Viva la Diva, Rampant Rose, Unmatched Mocha
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
My favourites are High Maintenance, Sugar Babe, Rebel and Vamp amongst the darker colours, I find them quite forgiving to work with for deep shades. Bestseller is a cracker of a sparkly red with a bit of pink to it, also very easy to apply. Starkers is a great nude with a whitening effect. One day I will have a car the colour of Inkjet! Great blue. Diamond Rose is his best sheer iridescent, on me, anyway. Just Perfect and Lollipop are the best corals I own.
The ones I'm least struck with are, mostly, the ones that everybody else seems to rave about, or which created the most fuss when they came out! Supermodel is one of THE taupe nudes, but it just doesn't look right on me. Ditto Your Planet or Mine which looks like it's going to be a lovely oil-on-water-peacock type duochrome but on me just looks kind of black and sludgey! I have never 'got' the fascination for Butterfly Wings, either; it is pretty in the bottle but makes my yellowed nails look even yellower. A few of his more 'natural' shades have a tendency to throw yellowy on me, I stick to Starkers mostly, which doesn't.
Of the LD top and base coats (which I didn't bother photographing), Undercover works really well as a base coat but I find it tends to dry out my nails badly after a while of using it - which they do NOT need - so I stick to One for All which you can use as a top coat as well. Crystal Finish is nice, but not fast enough drying for clumsy me but is okay with his fast drying spray or Miracle Drops. His polishes do work well with other brand base and top coats, too, I've not had any that haven't agreed and given me shrinkage or bubbling or anything.
On the whole I like my Leightons; I find it easy to apply and it does last well without chipping on me. The famous Crystal File is lovely, too.
The one major failure I had with LD products was the Brilliance range (for the aforesaid yellow nails). The polish remover wasn't as good as his normal one, or other, cheaper ones I've tried; the wash-off Serum brightener made my nail beds sore and tingly and the basecoat chipped very early and took the polish on top with it. Because of that it only got used twice so it didn't make any difference to the yellowing either.

Re: Um. Whoops. How did this happen?
Thanks for the nail porn pics Jules, that's a hell of a collection!
I've got a few of those. I know what you mean about Your Planet or Mine. Looks amazing in the bottle but not as nice on the nails. I love Butterfly Wings but I never wear it on it's own, always over something else. It looks great over black, turns it a kind irridescent blue.
