Trip to the USA....what should I buy?
Hiya
I'm off to America for a week next month.
Any suggestions for polishes/brands of polishes I should look out for while I'm there?

oooh so jealous. I can't think of any in particular myself but I'm sure some of the real addicts will be able to reel off lists for you (I'm a cheapo wannabe who has only ventured a little outside of Boots, Superdrug, TK Maxx etc).
I'd go for the sweets too myself, with the cinema boxes that you can find in the $ store. num num num

Whatever takes your fancy!
It's hard to say without knowing what you like - glitters, holos, indies, effects? Unless you'd like to know what sells well.....?
Are you looking to buy ones that are available in the UK but cheaper in the States, or polishes that you can't get here? I'd have to write my list on A3, it'd be mahoosive.

And definitely Deborah Lippman. And Sephora by OPI have some lovely polishes too.

Sally Hansen do some lovely colours over there.
Also finger paints and Nicole by OPI which is in Walmart and Target.
You need to find an Ulta and a Sallys.
I bought 50 when I was in Florida in 2011.
Check out US nail blogs for inspiration.

Re: Trip to the USA....what should I buy?
Thanks guys
I'm going to Austin, Texas for South by Southwest festival.
I was curious about both I guess....stuff you can't get here and things that are a lot cheaper out there!
I like all sorts of polishes but I don't have much in the way of holos...so might look like for some of them. Otherwise just general stuff really...not sure how much time I'll have for shopping!

Re: Trip to the USA....what should I buy?
My sister goes to Houston quite often, she's not a polish addict but spends many happy evenings rummaging around in Kroger Pharmacies on my behalf! Target has a far better range than Walmart these days and Color Club would be a good bet. I'd also recommend Sation if you can find them, I'va bought one from eBay which I love but the postage cost/situation is holding me back from buying any more. I'd also buy lots of Sephora Opis and Jordana glitters.
How about finding out which mall will be nearest to you and check the mall site to see what shops are there and what they sell before you go? Muchos research could save you lots of time and shoe leather

I've just come back Look out for Sally Beauty, there's one pretty much everywhere! Their clearance sales are usually really good- you can get ORLY, China glaze and finger paints for about $3.
Sally hansen luster shines (multi-chromes similar to some of the old nail prisms) are available at CVS for about $8- they're amazing! Lava and firefly are my favourites. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
And hard candy ones from wallmart are super cute.
