Does every catalogue their polishes??

I'm ordered polishes that I think I already have?! Thats twice this week!! Arghhhhh.

I think I need to make an easily accessible list really. Any suggestions?

The information would need to be portable really as I buy a lot out and about.

I've started to put mine into an Excel spreadsheet, but I'm not sure how accessible that would be on a mobile. Do you have some kind of notepad tool on your phone that you could use?

Just out of sheer nosiness, which polishes have you doubled up on?

No I don't keep all my holos in a seperate carry case ( all 100 of them :-0) and I know what I have with them x

I recommend the app Evernote. I've managed to save all my polish wheels info complete with pictures on there. Plus there is a search facility so you can do a check on the name if necessary. It's saved me a couple of times from buying dupes! It's easy to use too although you have a monthly upload limit

Hope this makes sense - it's not the easiest thing to demonstrate!!!

I have an excel spreadsheet for mine.
It totals up my entire collection and displays different count level, e.g. how many from a certain brand or collection. It's also how I monitor my untrieds and colour saturation. I email a version to myself every now and again so I can read via iPhone.

Doesn't help with dupes unless I think to google swatches with my phone.

That Evernote app looks pretty cool!

It certainly won't work on my trusty old pink Samsung though.

I had an excel spread sheet. I got lazy with it though and still ended up doubling up on a few and only realised when it came to selling. I even managed to order 2 of one polish in the same order accidentally!!

I've doubled up a couple of times recently, with Kiko and OPi. I also bought a Color Club that was practically identical to a Barry M glitter. I keep thinking I ought to do something about my storage but I never seem to get round to it. I have a tatty notebook that I keep basic notes in, but it's basically shopping research and shipping cost info with an ever increasing want list.

I used to... I probably should do it again, now that I'm moving and I have to get rid of some.

I have a pocket Domino filofax that's divided into ABC/DEF/GHI etc. sections and then a sheet of paper for each brand... with the name and a small swatch of the colour on the paper. Been a while since I updated it though.

Well I looked at the Evernote app and gone for that. Portable and has a search feature. Now to get the data input!!! Arghh!

I'm sure you'll love doing it once you get going! I found several polishes I'd forgotten about!

Well I've done 3 drawers. I'm doing it by brand which should make it simple ish!

Excel sheet for me as well but I am really tempted by evernote now.

I have all mine on sticks not wheels and I forgot to label them so I have 300 to try and match.
They are all split by helmer drawers and colours.

I've started to use an excel spreadsheet for mine. I just put the name, brand, size & collection name but I'm thinking of adding extras like main colour and finish (cream, shimmer, ect.).

Nearly done with cataloging! I have 43 models own polishes! That's more than the other brands. They clearly started my love!

Wow that is love, I have 29 in my collection, only 2 untried though. I do think they are amazing polishes.

I use an excel spreadsheet, sorted by brand then name, colour, collection and finish. I also have some swatch sticks on the way (supposedly... I've been waiting a month!).

It is a little! But very worth it!! Lol

My Excel spreadsheet is useful for online purchases but I can't access it when I'm out and about shopping. I may have to print it out as otherwise I still have to rely on my memory which seems to be gradually getting worse as I get older!
