Models Own Iced Neons

Post  Sally Magpie on Wed Mar 27, 2013 12:27 am

Has anyone else got these? I picked up Bubblegum and Pukka Purple and Bubblegum is nice, but no different to any neon, and pukka purple isn't even a neon, just a purple Sad

I haven't bothered to be honest as most neons are neon enough for me and I've got better ones within my stash already.

I felt grim, so went into boots and just grabbed stuff. I should be ashamed.

Uncontrolled grabbing is allowed every now and then. Just imagine what my London trip will be like on Friday!!!

Well if it makes you feel any better Lady S, I did exactly the same this afternoon. Felt crap, went into Superdrug and just grabbed three GOSH polishes I liked the look of. Embarassed

What makes it worse is the bloody dog has just eaten one.

I really like them. I personally feel the purple is more blue toned but I actually prefer that to the pink toned neon purple shades.
Hope your dog is ok.

The dog was fine, he only ate the cap, and then brought it to me. He is always stealing nail varnishes, he is a sod.

I put them in the fridge, and no difference.

I personally think that is just a gimmick, they aren't delivered or sold refrigerated so any benefit to the product in prolonging the colour should have been done from manufacturer not when it reaches your home. You don't buy fresh milk from the grocery shelf in the supermarket then put it in the fridge, it's supposed to stay chilled for optimum freshness. My cynical nature thinks there is an ingredient inside to make it so bright that it causes the polish to thicken, putting it in the fridge would keep application smooth.

I was under the impression it would get brighter if it had been in the fridge. But it was in overnight and nada happens.

I read prolong the intensity/longevity - as in over time they wouldn't be as bright/fade from regular storage.
It wasn't even mentioned on the stand I bought mine from, ages ago I didn't look at websites for nail polish or nail blogs so would have never known.

According to the blurb on their website: "The only way to keep fluoro really bright is to KEEP IT COLD! We've packed this collection in specially-designed frosted bottles that you should keep refrigerated to protect the intense fluoro colour from fading".

I got them yesterday and tonight I think I'll go for the yellow on my toes. I'm a bit miffed that there's 2 pink shades and no blue Crying or Very sad Can anyone recommend a nice neon blue?

I've not found a really neon blue so would also be pleased to hear of any suggestions Smile
I thought I'd be wanting to try these ice neons, but haven't bought any yet - I'm still hanging on for the China Glaze neons and jellies that I've been twittering on about for weeks!! It seems that although China Glaze told me they'd be available in July, one eBay seller has them on pre-order for May so I'm getting a bit excited!!!! Laughing
