So excited!!!

Re: So excited!!!
You might come unstuck with your FAQ's. Distance selling regs mean that if a polish arrives broken you are responsible for refunding everything including P+P. Also, you can't specify no returns no refunds for the same reason, you have to abide by DSR's.
You might do well to sit down with your local Trading Standards and ask them to help you write T&C's that keep you within the regs

Re: So excited!!!
Sorry wrong way round for broken items it will be refunded but for 'other reasons' it needs to be dealt with case by case but again I will double check with my trading standards guy, thank you
Re: So excited!!!
You will put people off buying with the bit about broken bottles though, its a very unfair clause. If someone spends £7 on polish plus £3 in postage to receive it broken and you only refund £7 you can see that will instantly cause you bad publicity. Its certainly not your buyers fault that it's arrived broken and your insurance should cover that anyway.
Goodwill builds a business and your terms will put people off I think.
Edit, ok seen your edit
Return postage under DSR is the responsibility of your buyer, BUT, you have to return 100% of the money paid - polish and original shipping.

Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you are entitled to a full refund including the initial delivery charge if you return a product, or inform the retailer that you want to return the product, within seven working days
Re: So excited!!!
Broken items will be refunded in full because its the responsibility of my courier and I will have to claim from them.
In most cases I can refund a buyer for 'other reasons' (although I have been advised I don't have to for certain reasons) but again as I can't accept the item back in most cases there wouldn't be any return postage so they would again receive a full refund

You need to make that completely clear You have no return policy as such at the moment so add that into your FAQ's. DSR's are tricky things to stay on top of, word them wrongly and you will always have someone wanting to take advantage of you for it
Good luck.

Thank you! I have a 'legal guy' and a 'trading standards guy' so I'll ask them to double check the FAQ's again and the info in them
