How many untrieds??

I'm sure we had a thread about untrieds before but I'm on my phone and can't find it!

There is 106 polishes in there!! Can't get anymore in. OH says I have issues.

I can't as my new total stands at 79 (Frankens don't count tee hee)
Have you tried doing skittles manis, gradients and water marbling to reduce your numbers whilst wearing your manicure? I do this when I fancy different looks all at the same time.

You could do a mega different coloured gradient on each finger nail, 4 colours per nail then a skittles pedicure.
50 colours achieved in one go - Boom. More if you have an untried glitter to wear as a topper.

Shopping Addict, you could get loads more in there. You need to get the square ones together, so they take up less space. Then put the round ones in, and put some in upside down too between the gaps in the round ones.

Not that I have to do this of course.

Maybe it is time for another clear out sale!!

This thread has made me feel better. I have 40 untrieds - it was alot more, but ive been trying to use as many as possible before i buy more...

I am reading this right, 333 untrieds or 120 from the 453 overall total?
If it is the former that is quite an untried stash. My problem is I want to try my new pretties immediately and the old ones get forgotten about.

I am so disorganised and have no idea how many untrieds I have. I store them under brand, tried or not. I'm too OCD about the bottles all looking orderly together

I store by brand as well, some brands are grouped together but I know what is in each drawer. I track my untrieds via my spreadsheet, I also track colours and collections this way. I would be lost without my spreadsheet.

So a rearrangement might be in order then!! lol

Once I've used them they are then put into their respective coloured drawers. I don't have enough of each different brand to have a brand per drawer.....

OH reckons he would be able to weld another helmer to the one thats there already...... trouble is none of the other drawers are as full as the untrieds drawer!

Mine are all arranged by colour and all the untrieds are mixed in as I swatch them so I haven't a clue what's not been on my nails.
Given I am the spreadsheet queen (really I have one for pretty much everything in my life and work) I can't believe I've not yet done one for my nail varnish.

Starting one might be jonb for the weekend! So what columns do you all have?
Make, name, colour are obvious. then I'd add price and date bought (will be blank of course for most of those I have). Oh and worn or not worn. Then I'm tempted to grade them from 1-5 of how much I liked them, or maybe just comments? Do you try and say how many coats to opacity? I then wonder about date worn and occasion. and then it all starts to become way too complicated when I wonder waht I wore it under or over - I tend to put a colour on then add things fter a few days. How do you all cope? It makes me think what I actually need is a database and then I lose interest!

My main page is set out in these columns:

Brand, name, size in ml, quantity, colour, tried.

It's all filtered and I use the subtotal function to quickly show how many untrieds I have or number of a certain colour or how many of a certain brand for example.

I also use a percentage function, my untrieds sound a lot better as a percentage lol, 14% doesn't seem as bad as 79 bottles.

The other sheets are for nail treatments, stamps and frankens etc but needs serious updating - none of my new glitters feature and I have at least 25 frankens not accounted for.

I didn't focus too heavily on descriptions or date worn as I wanted it to be a really quick reference point.

I've probably got about 8 or 10 untrieds.....polishes halo

I would t say so, they will get used eventually.

I don't think I've actually got too many untrieds anymore. I don't separate them from the others anymore as I haven't got the storage/space, but I've worked my way through them fairly quickly I probably have 10 maximum at the moment.

My polishes are ordered by brand and my many untrieds are just mixed in. I can remember whether I've worn something or not.

Have you been splurging like crazy or do you have favourites you wear more than most?
I am totally fascinated how you can have so many untrieds, I am like a kid in a candy store - I need to try them all.
