Netflix or Films in general
I'm having one of those moments when I can't find anything to watch. Every film I start I think blah after 2 mins and go back to searching. So what's the last film you saw and would you recommend it?
I saw Jack Reacher yesterday - dire totally dire. Awful plot, awful off putting music and it was like watching Tom Cruise just rehearsing his lines...very bad

We tried Netflix for a while but the choices were super limited so we jacked it in.
We have sky so can get stuff from on demand if there really isn't anything on, sadly for me there is always a programme about cars or guns on.........

We have US Netflix so much better than the UK content, pay £3 or something for the ISP - not sure how it all works but get loads of recent films and series.

I go to the Silver Screen showings at our local cinema once a week during the winter months and have seen some really good films that way. They're usually a selection of the year's best films for the bargain price of £3.50 plus a hot drink!
One film that sticks in my mind that I really would recommend was a French film called Untouchable. I wasn't expecting much from it but went anyway as it was part of the Silver Screen season. It's based on a true story and deals with quite a difficult subject matter but I really enjoyed it.

If you don't mind childish humour, The Inbetweeners film is on C4 at 9 tonight.
It appeals to my stupid sense of humour.

Did you ever see Kevin & Perry Go Large Sal? Quite amusing with a cracking soundtrack.Sally Magpie wrote:If you don't mind childish humour, The Inbetweeners film is on C4 at 9 tonight.

Never seen Kevin and Perry.
Love Howard and Kumar get the munchies though.
Also, if you don't mind a bit of tongue in cheek humour keep your eyes open for 'Four Lions'
Its a comedy about some failed suicide bombers. It sounds like it could never be funny, but they are so funny. At one point one of them goes to buy peroxide from a local beauty supply face and puts on an 'IRA' voice so people won't think he is a terrorist.
