Help with old OPI colours?
Hey ladies
So OHs mum is some what of an ex-polish addict and we've just raided her drawers to see if she had anything worth selling. We found some older OPIs which are barely used and still look ok but I'm clueless on OPI. Can anyone tell me if any of these are hard to find/worth selling? Or whether I can just stick them on for a couple of quid instead? We've got...
Take it for granite
Changing of the garnet
Piles peak-a-boo purple
Romeo & Joliet
Nicole Rock the vote red
Any help or pointers would be appreciated xx

So far a quick googlette has brought up that Pikes (1996) & Granite (Rocky mountain collection!) are considered very hard to find. I've found a Romeo & jUliet, but not Joliet yet but I'm sure I've seen it somewhere.

Changing Of The Garnet is from the 2002 Eoropean Collection collection,I have it So yep, it's pretty rare now Romeo & Joliet was old ,but it's been re-released as part of the classic collection, you can still order it from Lena White.(I'm guessing yours is probably a black label rather the new green ones )

Re: Help with old OPI colours?
Loola and SueD have beaten me to it whilst I've been hanging out my washing. They have given you more or less what I have found:
Take it for Granite and Pike's Peek-A-Boo Purple are both from the 1996 Rocky Mountain Collection. They are both discontinued and would definitely be worth putting on eBay.
Changing of the Garnet is from the 2002 European Collection but is not as rare as the two above.
Romeo & Joliet was originally part of the 1997 OPI Route 66 Collection but it was re-released as part of the OPI Classics Range because of its popularity. I'm not sure how much you would get for an original given that the colour is still available.
Nicole Rock the Vote Red is from 2004 I think. It is discontinued but also seems to be fairly easy to get hold of.
Good luck with selling them. I'd be quite interested in Changing of the Garnet and Romeo & Joliet if your OH's mum decides to part with them.

Sue, you should go on Mastermind with 'OPIs past and present' as your specialist subject I was hoping you'd have some answers for this thread ( I had to Google my info...!).

The $64,000 Dollar Question. Although the top prize was actually only £6,400 - go figure!ninjajane wrote:I'd love to watch that! what was the other show with specialist knowledge more showbizzy than mastermind? something dollar question - think bob monk-house hosted it.

Thanks Sue, that's useful. Some of my OPIs may even be older than that!SueD wrote:Just found this blog which has links to lists of OPI collections since 1996
