What to buy at Sally's?
We don't have a Sally's near me, but my boyfriend has to go to Peterborough today where they do have one! He's agreed to pop in and pick me up some stuff. Any suggestions? I've looked online but I've heard they have way more in store. Thanks guys!! x

Re: What to buy at Sally's?
Some of their reduced polishes are fab prices, but it depends if they have any at the time - would he be prepared to take his phone and ring you when he gets there?
I usually find them a tad pricey for non-sale stuff though. Let me think about what I bought last time.....hmmm. A bottle of Gelous, a couple of 3 for 2 China Glaze (but I don't think they're on offer at the mo), a bottle of the Bond Gold flake stuff (reduced), Nail Envy (reduced) and a Nina polish which is the only polish I've ever used that literally falls of my nails .
Our Sally's is not very big though, but I'm sure others will be along soon with better suggestions x

Thanks! He says he's fine with ringing me when he's there, I'll tell him to look out for sale items. I've already asked him to see if they have any nail envy on sale as I'm running low! I'll make sure I'm online when he gets there so that I can check swatches quickly if he finds any good deals.

Re: What to buy at Sally's?
I got some Gelous top coat at the weekend (looks like a china glaze bottle but with a green lid) at the weekend,it was cheaper there than from EBay). They had a few China Glaze's marked down (on the shelf as well as by the till) plus lots of full price OPI's

I used it for the first time last night over a gritty glitter and it's fab, though I had read it takes ages to dry so added Seche over the top

Re: What to buy at Sally's?
Thanks for the help guys! He's picked me up some Gelous (very excited to try this, thank you for the heads up!!), and a large bottle of pure acetone. He said they didn't have much China Glaze on sale but he grabbed a red he said he knew I'd love, and When Stars Collide which he thinks was mistakenly marked down as the rest weren't... good spot! That's the polish from the Hologlam collection which I wanted the most, so I'm happy. Oh, and not nail related but he also got me [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] which I'd seen a few really good reviews of and wanted.

Re: What to buy at Sally's?
I think it was £5.95 (can't find my bill at the mo) The one I'd found on ebay was£6.95 plus £2.60 p&p...

He did do well Definitely going to have to put a ring on it!!
I can't remember how much he said the Gelous was, £5.95 sounds about right though. I can check for sure tomorrow if he still has the reciept. (:

Aw, that's so sweet - he really sounds like a keeper. I think my OH would probably point blank refuse to go into Sallys let alone rummage around looking for any sale bargains.Lain wrote:Thanks for the help guys! Mine's been in a couple of times, ours is on an industrial estate and his company has a depot pretty much right next door. It must look a bit odd to the sales assistant, a large slightly grubby stubbly bloke rummaging around in the polish

Re: What to buy at Sally's?
He's a sweetheart. Going to try out one of my new polishes later today I think! I bet he must have looked quite odd looking through all the nail supplies in there. P:
