I think...
...I've had too much wine.
I fancied a glass tonight, so I bought a bottle. But I'm going home tomorrow and won't be back until Monday night, by which point the wine would be no good, so I've had a good go at drinking the bottle. But I still need to pack for this weekend (and realised I have no decent underwear for trying on wedding dresses...argh!), and tidy up, and I really need to keep reading my book because shit's getting real.
Anyway, the point was I wanted to apologise if I've been talking complete and utter rubbish tonight.

Re: I think...
Ha ha your spelling is correct so you can't be too bad. Go with the flow I say. I want a drink but I am on Standby and DH at work.

Re: I think...
Back in the day (last year) when we were in Liverpool and I was drinking with his mum several nights a week a bottle of wine didn't even touch the sides lol. Now after a glass the room spins...uh oh...
Re: I think...
Wine is so potent but tastes so nice, can't handle red though.

Ooh no, red's evil. It makes my mouth feel yucky and it gives me migraines. However, if I'm already drunk and you offer me red wine I will happily take it lol.

Re: I think...
God I can do a bottle of wine no hassle.
I drank three in one night once in my uni days, I have no idea how I managed that.
I drank two in one night a couple of years ago, I fell over on my arse (boyfriend tried to catch me but couldn't!) and I ended up breaking my tailbone, I couldn't move or sit up properly for weeks. I spent pretty much a whole week horizontal!

White wine is yucky, love red wine with a passion.
Trouble is red wine makes me vomit. Lots.

Haha Laura, did you have to have one of those toilet seat shaped cushions??
The first time I met any of John's family (thank GOD it was only his cousin!) I accidentally drank two bottle of wine because I was nervous and just randomly cried...I don't think alcohol and microgynon really got on too well...

LOL no, in hindsight it would have been so much easier, but there was no way I was taking that into lectures

Red wine is rank.
I'm definitely a rosé girl, I do like some white wines but I can never remember which ones.

Re: I think...
Haha that's brilliant!
I enjoy a sauvignon blanc. I even buy it if it's not the cheapest one now, I feel proper posh.

Re: I think...
Im a rosé girl. But definitely can't drink anywhere near as much as I used to. Used to have two bottles as pre drinks before going out and starting on the vodka, cocktails and jagerbombs. Now I can't even pre drink and any more than 1.5 bottles of wine has me flat on my back in bed with the room spinning

Re: I think...
Same 1 or 2 bottles and some home made cocktails before going out, more wine, cider and then jagers and other shots. My mates still do this 3 times a week and most Sundays are an all dayer. They all mid to late 30's early 40's.
Dunno how they still do it - I had enough last year and I bumped into some one last week who said the same. And was reading about the decline of alco pops and how the 90's generation that drank them (i loved Red) drink more today than any other generation. The larger louts and laddetts are all turning middle aged - lol

Re: I think...
I read that article too and was surprised as they seem as popular as ever up in Newcastle! There's a big nightclub that did 60p drinks before the council put a stop to it, and they're wall-to-wall alcopops.ninjablossom wrote:Same 1 or 2 bottles and some home made cocktails before going out, more wine, cider and then jagers and other shots. Re: I think...
yeah I still see people drinking Bacardi breezers and WKD - i think cider is just slightly taking its place at the moment. What happened to hooch??
And I know a lot of 20-25 year olds who think there is more to life than getting trashed all the time. Thats like all anyone wanted to do or cared about when I was 20 plus. Massive difference in attitude in just 10 years of age. Remember the front of the Sun and Co with Zoe Ball and Chris Evans constant drunken antics and their crowds antics - aim of the game was to get smashed.

Oh Christ, I do! Hooper's Hooch!
And Metz and Lime Bacardi Breezers (can still get them in Holland).
I was always a pint'o snakebite lass, I couldn't stand it with Blackcurrant. I genuinely loved the taste. I had to grow up though, I found if I wanted a sensible 'pissed but still on the planet' night it would be the Breezers, if it was a totally wild one (I was a member of the scaffolding fraternity!) it was pints, pints and a few more pints.
