Smitten Polish, winter holly.

I decided to copy Fox Claws' black snowflake design today ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] )

Here's my version, slightly different, snowflakes are white rather than silver. I used Barry M Black with a bit of Technic Mermaid, finished off with Mavala Color-Matt topcoat.

Right this is the first time ever posting my nails-they're too short and I need a LOT more practice but...be kind please...this was pre clean up and I never noticed how bad my cuticles looked before...what do I do with them?

My Cuticles are not the best so i'm not really qualified to give advice but i have found from personal experience that regularly moisturising them helps enormously.

polishrose, did you use tape for that? I'm very jealous of your straight lines! I'm afraid I can't give any cuticle advice either - I just abuse mine - but I didn't think they looked bad

I used sellotape I had to stick it to the tablecloth a few times first to reduce stickiness as otherwise it took the entire layer of polish off lol.I'll be using the thinner type of sellotape next time though.
I have very dry skin anyway because of thyroid issues so my cuticles are awful.

I'm impressed with the lines too - and your cuticles look far better than mine!
I think its always a shock to see your nails that close up - well I found it was when I first took photos. I've got used to it now and I am able to better ignore the snaggy bits and whatnot.

You've inspired me to get a grip & try the little bally things I bought anyway! I never thought of doing a triangle to avoid them being at the edge where I *know* I'll pick them off in half an hour;)
