Hasn't started here yet. They reckon it will be after lunch. I'm hoping for a light flurry and that will be it!

Bollocks it's now laying.
Snow/ice + rear wheel drive car = getting nowhere fast.
And the builders won't build. Grrrr

Chic French snow
Here in Dover we don't have the snow that's deposited itself over most of the UK today, we have our own stuff coming over from France (according to the weathermen!) and it's like nothing I've ever seen. Usually you see clumps of snow, big chunky ones or little soap powdery stuff. The stuff that has been landing on my black jacket tonight is like individual 'proper' snowflake shapes, all of the individual points and the star shapes are clearly visible, in detail. I've been standing there saying oooh, look at that one......aaaaah, this one's gorgeous!! It's truly amazing.

Re: Let it snow!
We had proper snowflakes the other day when it snowed - it was AMAZING. I hate snow, so I was walking to work all grumpy and then noticed all the pretty snowflakes on my coat Very disappointed with the rubbish white fluff we had today.
Re: Let it snow!
Well, we are well and truly stuck here. I live at the top of this bank....
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Its basically a mile long cul de sac which culminates in our houses at the end. It doesn't look too steep but the first sign of ice or snow and we are going nowhere. We had a lot of snow yesterday, this is the view from my conservatory window...

By lunch time everything had closed, shopping centers, work places, bin men didn't arrive, no post etc. By 3pm the buses had stopped running. All major roads were blocked with accidents and it was total chaos. Cars were getting stuck outside our house which is something I've never seen in 16 years of living here. Even better I'm told we are getting more tomorrow.....
Fortunately Steve had the sense not to leave on his 70 mile commute to work and worked from home. He may be able to get up the bank in his Astra but my clio doesn't stand a chance so until the bank is clear I'm going nowhere.

That happened here on Thursday, I'd taken my old Mum to Tesco for a few bits and it was like an apocalypse was coming lol. I usually have my shopping delivered on a Friday night but I managed to rearrange it to Thursday night instead so I didn't need to go out
I love my Lamp Berger, still hunting that elusive Creme Brulee fragrance locally
Re: Let it snow!
I've had really nice fragrances and got rid of the bottles, so may never know what I'd bought creme brûlée/vanilla or chocolate scents always make me hungry Oh dear, hope your mum got what she needed! Think a lot of people had dry cornflakes this morning

Re: Let it snow!
We got quite a lot of snow yesterday, which was great as the last snow (apart from about a 2mm dusting every now and then) we had was 2009 or 2010, and before that 1998! So we were all pretty excited here. I didn't have to go out but went to my local Co-Op just for an excuse to go out in it.
It's supposed to snow again tomorrow which I'm excited about too.
