Re: What's On Your Mind?
Urgh I've only had my hair dye on for 3 mins, yet it feels like so much longer!!
Re: What's On Your Mind?
I feel grouchy today, didn't sleep at all well last night. My sleeping pattern is crap at the best of times anyway, but I've been trying to be good to prepare for the next couple of weeks. The housing association are putting in a new bathroom and toilet which means workmen from 8.30 every day for 2 weeks, which means I'll need to be up at 6am. That's like, against my religion or something.
So erm, yeah, I'm getting up earlier but not really sleeping very well.

Good things and bad. My job are going to work with me and my poorliness which is very wonderful and reassuring. Unfortunately before that I'd already taken a small overdose so I am a bit poorly. D'oh.

Have you been to see a doctor?Geordie Nails wrote:Good things and bad. My job are going to work with me and my poorliness which is very wonderful and reassuring. Unfortunately before that I'd already taken a small overdose so I am a bit poorly. D'oh.
Re: What's On Your Mind?
That doesn't sound good! What do you mean by "small overdose"?

No. Literally small. Like "blegh I have to do something but don't know what".
Re: What's On Your Mind?
Believe me I've been there. Sounds like a trip to the docs wouldn't be a bad idea?Geordie Nails wrote:No. Literally small. Like "blegh I have to do something but don't know what".

Re: What's On Your Mind?
I hope you're doing well now. I think you're right, and the reassurance with work really helps. I don't know why I did it because I just ended up feeling ill for the rest of the day!JackieP wrote:

Re: What's On Your Mind?
Thanks, I'm doing better, though not often doing "well". And yeah...not that I'm trying to tell you what to do, but personally I'd take that as a warning sign that I might need a trip to the docs. I feckin' hate doing it, but sometimes it's needed.Geordie Nails wrote:I hope you're doing well now. I think you're right, and the reassurance with work really helps. Good that work is being helpful for you at least.

I really understand that. Meds are amazing but they keep me alive, not well! I need to see the doctor soon about my gallstone diagnosis so I'll bring it up thenJackieP wrote:

I already have both otherwise I'd probably have bought them, even though I'm supposed to really really not be buying more for a while now.Laura wrote:Lol well doesn't seem to have much interest so let me know :)I dunno how I managed itGeordie Nails wrote:Ahhhhh! shit that sounds very very scary. how do you fix problems like that? call AA?SueD wrote:Glad to be home, though could have done without a tyre blowing whilst we were in the outside lane of the M6
Re: What's On Your Mind?
It was a bit scary, especially considering what could have happened
DH had to change the wheel, I just assumed he was going to ring whatever car people we're with and let them do it He is not into cars at all so I had no idea he even knew how to change a wheel!
A Highways patrol car came and 'stood guard' until we were all done ,which was quite reassuring I asked him if he's seen us on a camera but apparently they were on the opposite carraigeway and had seen a backlog of traffic so had come off at the next exit to see what had happened. It felt like it happened too quick to cause a backlog but I guess everyone behind us was trying to avoid the remains of the tyre bouncing across the other three lanes .

I was driving on my way to luton airport for holidays back in june and passed a lorry whose tyre blew out, was so freaking loud!!!
On my way over to college this afternoon, the bloody low tyre pressure light came on. Luckily I have run flats, but I'd just had to mess about getting that sorted. Place where OH works now doesn't 'do' tyres so I've stuck some air in and hope that solves the problem for now!!!
Re: What's On Your Mind?
how do tyres blow then? or rather why?
I'm getting brewdy (sp) I really want a cat. I cant have a cat as I rent and refuse to accept I will settle - cats are not compatible with boats and backpacks... whether i do another big trip again, who knows but I'd like the option. A child would be easier to travel with, but I'd love a cat.
