Yeah everyone's fine He said it didn't seem too bad, but they're going to wait until tomorrow to go out in one of the boats and check it out. His captain had a similar incident last year with an oil rig...they were swiftly told to move away from the area lol.

Hope your OH is ok Sam, I wouldn't fancy being out on the North Sea tonight.

And all you ladies down south...stay safe. I hope you've all candles ready in case of a power cut. And have you charged your phones, laptops etc?

Oh don't say that...I hadn't even considered a power cut...ugh. We had three in work on Friday though (powercuts in a hospital are not fun...).

Candles at the ready, non-digital phone to hand, mobile and laptop charged, car in garage, radio batteries charged, garden ornaments safely stored away.....

OH says it was wild here for about 10 minutes this morning. Seems its all been a bit of a damp squib. What about the rest of you?

Only problem I currently ahve is I don't know if my trains are running as the national rail website has gone kerpoof!

It arrived here at about 4am this morning and the worst lasted about an hour. Surprisingly everything seems to be fine though.  I hope everybody else is OK and hasn't suffered any damage or disruption.

I do hope Sarah is OK, she's near Plymouth and I think there has been some damage there.

I dunno if we're even going to get anything in the north east? I have a friend down south whose fence blew into her neighbour's car but thankfully no injuries!

I think I'm gonna have Chinese tonight. That will be the fifth takeaway this week....

Our car is a bit buggered (engine fault) so we have to take it back to the dealer on Monday to be looked at. It's only just over a year old but I bet whatever the problem is it probably won't be covered by the warranty.   

Baba - scumbags will probably try & tell you its not covered. Set Laura on them!

SA - no turkey leftovers? we could live on turkey for a week or so!

Oh dear - I can sympathise, but for once I don't feel the same.
We were so sad that OH actually went to bed before midnight & I'd stopped drinking hours before. God we must be old!

I didn't even have a drink last night....! Unless a chunk of Baileys cake counts?!
