Re: What's On Your Mind?
Watching a random show about monkeys and fiscal responsibility - by watching I mean the tv is on this channel and no-one can be bothered to change it. Not sure introducing monkeys to money is the best idea....

Not sure, I would guess so. This always seems to happen when I use the nasal sprays. It's a bit annoying, but it's better than being unable to breathe properly while my nose drips like a tap I suppose!Sam wrote:Oh no Baba! Is it a steroid one?
I had a chest infection a couple of years back and the doctor told me to try steam inhalation rather than giving me antibiotics. I only did it once, and had daily nose bleeds for a week!

Re: What's On Your Mind?
Fuck my father's left a lot for me to sort out. My head's spinning a bit. anyone know where online to find share prices from a particular date?
Santander are wankers, HSBC rather better and my own bank - Barclays - have been fab.
Oh & the number for his ex cleaner doesn't work and I need to find someone both reliable and trustworthy to clean his house before the wake. ARgghghghghghgh.

Keep going Han, you're doing well. When's the wake?
I am so bored. I'm adding over a hundred hotels to a database on one of our sites and then I have to type up a couple of finance articles.

Funeral & Wake is on 15th. I'm hoping to ahve all the 'stuff' valued by then so I can happily give away anything with no real value to attendees.

Why is it only half past 7? I'm so bored I just want to go to bed already.
I've done absolutely nothing this weekend and I'm really fucked off with it.

Re: What's On Your Mind?
Ok I'm cross now.
I've been trying to join a Kipling sales group on FB for the last few days but they won't let me in. Three times now I've clicked on "join group" (the button then changes to "cancel request") and then when I check again the next day or whatever, the button is back to "join group". So I can only assume they keep cancelling my request, or ignoring it or whatever.
How very dare they!? They've got 366 members so they're hardly exclusive. But they won't let me in. Harumph!

Re: What's On Your Mind?
Ok so I've just realised it says it a subsidiary group for existing members of the main group only. But then they don't tell me what the main group is.
Stoopid people. Don't want to join their stoopid group anyway.

They're not good enough for you, you don't need their smelly group anyway

Re: What's On Your Mind?
Too right.
Apparently you have to ask to join the main group then if they accept you, you have to be a member for a month before they'll consider you for the subsidiary group.
I think not. It all sounds a bit too masonic for my liking. They'll be expecting me to do funny handshakes next.

My bloody thumb nail has split really low at the side yet again. It's been short now since October. I give up!

Re: What's On Your Mind?
Bad bad me being on here in the office but this has been running in my head all day and I'm never sure how public the posts really are on Facebook groups.
Hubby's work wants him to do a 3 month stint in Sydney setting up a new office and they've offered to fly me out and put me up for the duration too. It would be June to end of August - so all of our summer and their winter - but it's too good for him to turn down. It's just up to me to sort out the options for our 2 kitties and assess the viability of my joining him (do I quit work, or see if they'll let me work remote as there is an office there but only 4 people in it) Plus I'm swinging between wanting to go for the full time versus the sensible version of a two week holiday (free flights!) in the middle.
Poo day at work doesn't really help either.

Re: What's On Your Mind?
I'd be looking for a way to go, too good an opportunity to miss! Could you take unpaid leave of absence from work maybe?
What do you do with kitties when you go on hols? I've a friend who moved from London to oop north and her 5 kitties had to spend about 9 month in a cattery: although she was worried they seem to be fine now they are home with her again.

Re: What's On Your Mind?
Not too bothered about work - I work for a big oil company that has an office in Sydney, albeit a 4 man office, so may be able to wangle a kind of temporary transfer. The only thing stopping me from quitting is that we are trying for a baby so maternity pay would be nice, but the job itself isn't going anywhere (manager all but admitted it in my review last week) and it pays ok but not enough that I couldn't get it elsewhere. Cats usually have a cat sitter come to our house but that has only been for up to two weeks, and last time we had to find a new one as our previous lady moved out of the area. They really didn't like the cattery and although I would use it as a last resort I'd rather not.
Hate the fact that he has now told three different managers at work that we are trying and the only other person who know is my best mate

I must be ill. I went in Primark yesterday and didn't spend a penny, didn't buy a thing I picked up 6/7 things and ended up putting them all down again.

Massive queues always put me off, so if I don't think my haul is big enough to justify the wait it all goes back.

I would find away to go there. I always regret not going when my husband went there for work for 6 weeks.

It's all on hold because his company are stupid and have backed themselves in a bad corner. Stoopid buggers, I was just thinking how I'd only take 4 nail varnishes with me and might get some of those awesome local indie ones. If it is rescheduled and I'm not going to be able to go I'm going to throw the biggest wobbler!
