starting again :(

i went on holiday at the beginning of the month and i went away with lovely long talons. unfortunatly the nail envy in my little travel case was well past its best and wouldn't paint on nice. it didn't strengthen my nails and they ended up flaking at the side and one broke down right to the finger  then another broke and another so i had to cut them all off.

I am back home and back to starting again! i painted them for the first time since i got back yesterday and its a fact that i am much better at painting my nails when they are lovely and long - i have ended up with polish all round my cuticles this time.

hope i can get my nails back to what they was. 

Oh no, hope they grow back fast! I cut mine too short a little while ago and it wrecked my fingertips and cuticles, but they're growing nicely.

i was devestated - it was the longest i had ever had my nails in my life!

just have to make sure i keep up with the nail envy and weekly home manicures  

I've hacked all mine back shortie short. They were just too long and I was hitting 2 keys at once on the keyboard. Look on the bright side - you'll use less polish?!! 

hope they grow back quick! - when I have to hack mine short for sailing, I go for my bright red's which I never wear on long nails. Some colours look really good on short nails

I agree. I think a lot of the darker colours look better on short nails as well.

i have opi peace love & OPI but i'm not fond of it on short nails. i like pastels on short nails too.

from where i didn't have a decent nail file with me some of the shorties have layers that are spliting so i am going to have to keep cutting them back until that grows out too.

Don't worry Ladybug86, they'll grow back soon enough.  

i'm sure they will just frustrating none the less! will keep updated with my progress.

Shorter yes, but they still look pretty good to me Ladybug!  

I like short nails And yours look fab. I'm sure they'll grow back quickly though.

They look lovely, but I'm sure they won't take long to use if you're using Nail Envy I'm always surprised at how quickly my snapped off nails grow back

Urgh, both my thumb nails have broken (the left one snapped really low) and so I've had to file all the others down as it looked silly. I'm really stressed too so I've bitten all the skin around my nails and now my hands look a right state.  

mine are growing nicely but keep catching them so keep filing them down for now. problem is when my nails are short i'm a polish picker and
