Nasty Pop up on this site?

My pop up blocker generally lets me know that it's blocked something, it happens occasionally on this site. Today a convincing looking 'restart your computer to activate updates' box appeared and I stupidly went to click 'restart later'. It then started to try to download something - my antivirus (Avast) got very over excited and informed me that this file would (not could) harm the computer and I fortunately had the option to abort. Anybody else have anything similar? It's kind of putting me off using the forum now......

Nope never had any pop ups at all on this site. You get the annoying ad's above but thats what makes it free.

Thats really strange but I'm only really on here using my mac, or other i devices and they all tend to stop pop ups for me anyway..... but normally do tell me that they have done it IYSWIM.

Thanks for your responses, maybe I have a bug. Will run a boot scan and hope for the best!

None for me either. I'm on Google Chrome and a MacBook Pro, though if anything tried to pop up I get a 'pop up blocked' symbol and I haven't had that.

Well I hate to say it, I've been browsing with my iPhone and over the past couple of days I keep getting pop ups or, for example when I just posted on the what are you wearing thread, I clicked submit and it sent me to some mobile rewards spam site!!!!

That's the pop up I've been getting also. Anyone else?!

Neither have I. In fact sometimes the ads at the top of the page don't even load for me!

I wonder what's going on then??!! Confused! Oh well!
