Hello!

This is my first time going on holiday as an addict, and I am trying to work out what to take with me.
I doubt I will buy any as it's just to Jersey/Guernsey, although if they're a little cheaper than I normally pay, I might be tempted...

Thus said, I'll be changing colour every few days, so I'll prolly take 3/4 base colours, a magnetic one, and then a couple plain colours, but I'm thinking even if I only stick to a few polishes, if I take some plates, and a stamper set then I can at least change the overall look. Can't decide if I take more, like some crackles too, and oh what about some glittery top coats, and this is where I now fall apart (as I'm sat there trying to stuff in every polish just in case)

Do others take polish with them, if so, how many? Very Happy

I'm going away in October and it's something I've begun to think about. Since we'll be out all day and not coming back to the hotel till late I'm sure painting my nails will be low on my list of priorities, so I'm thinking of only taking one colour plus a glitter (and remover of course), as I'm sure I'll no doubt buy some whilst I'm there Very Happy

When I went away earlier in the year I took my whole collection. It filled the giant Soap & Glory bag from last xmas gift set thing. affraid

For when I go away next time though i've bought a polish wrap from the swapsies group so it will only be 1 base coat, seche vite and a couple of colours/glitters to jazz them up for the evening.

funnily enough I was thinking about this last night. I'm off to Egypt at the end of November so I'll have to just choose a few to take with me. Can't wait to get to Naama Bay though! Huge markets hopefully will equal lots of polish. Last time I went over there I came back with 2 sets of fake GHD's for £20 a pair (It was the set with the hairdryer as well), they are still going strong, as are my amazing fake Ray Bans haha

Wonder what the likelyhood of finding fake polishes over there is?

I am an addict.

I went to Tenerife and brought something stupid like 25 polishes back wtih me.

Even when my friends go on holiday I get them to bring stuff back with them aswell :S

I am considering going on a no buy from abroad and saving up what I would have spent and then going to new york to buy polish Sad

intrigued I've done some digging on what polishes are available in Egypt. OPI comes in at just over 100 Egyptian Pounds, or about a tenner a bottle Shocked

Safe to say I wont be bringing any OPI back then!

If I ever went on holiday (in my dreams!!!) I think I would just treat myself to a 3 week manicure and pedicure from Nails Inc and then I wouldn't have to worry about chips or taking polish away with me for touch ups.

Oh i just have this novel idea in my head of sunset on the beach with a warm blanket, glass of wine, and supper, whilst polishing my nails (and having a lovely sand effect on top) o.O

That and I like doing it, so doing it at home, or on holiday makes no difference, but as I have manky nails, no polish is no go. bounce

I did google shellac, but the same colour for a couple of weeks and paying to get it removed after was a killer for me.

I just got back from Cyprus and I just did myself a couple of coats of NI Porchester with 3 coats of SV and it lasted fine. I ripped my thumbnail in half but the spa at the hotel glued it for me (free) and the I just fixed it tonight properly.

I did have 1 little chip when I got to the airport hoicking my luggage off the belt when I got home but it didn't matter then. I took a box of Quickie remover pads and the polish I used for emergencies though.

Ooh when are you going? I've been to Naama Bay before - definitely go snorkelling if you can! I'm off to Makadi Bay in Egypt on 7th September but will be doing gel nails in a coral colour on my fingers and toes so don't have to worry while i'm away x

I'm going last week of November/first week of December. I'm going back to a place called Nabq Bay, I stayed there about 2 years ago so I've been to Naama myself before. Mad mad place, though they have a Baskin Robins so its not all bad lol. There is a a reef there so I was happy just reef snorkelling in 4ft of water last time, I'm not a very strong swimmer at all so I like to stay where my feet can touch the floor hehe Very Happy
