Introduction
I'm guessing this is where we say hello!
Well, hi! I'm Jane, I'm 30something years old and I'm from Stoke on Trent. Most of you know me as Pulliptears and to answer the question I'm usually asked a Pullip is a type of Japanese doll like in my Avatar.
I'm a stay at home Mum, though my kids are 15 and 19 lol Circumstances at present mean I can't look for a job so I'm happy to cook, clean and play taxi for the kids for now whilst my long suffering OH moans about the amount I spend on nail polish
I have a degree in Graphic Design so you'll probably see some of my weird and wonderful hand painted work sooner or later.
And thats me

Hello!
I'm Sarah, i'm 24 and live in Devon.
Currently not working due to my health I'm considering applying for uni to do childcare/midwifery/social care when my health gets a bit better.
I'm a converse wearing princess My main passion is football (Liverpool) very closely followed by nail polish which I spend far too much money on. I like all things pink and glittery though really.
I think that's it

Re: Introduction
Hello!
My name is Natalie, I'm 22 from Bucks. I'm just about to go into my third and final year studying Psychology at Bangor university - I can not WAIT to leave, I hate the city! I work in a charity shop once a week, and once I graduate I want to do a masters (pre-reg) in occupational therapy, possibly specialising in helping stroke patients get back to normal life. Don't have a paid job atm but I spend a good few hours every day on various websites like Swagbucks, Clickworker and Textbroker to get some cash in
Alongside nail varnish, I love filofaxes/stationery and horses (closest I could find to a horse, lol).
Not much else about me to be honest!

Hello
I'm Gilly I'm in my twenties and live in Belfast, but only been living here a year and a bit, and I don't like it!! I'm a stay at home Mum to my little boy who will be 7 months in 8 days.
I'm a bit of a tv a-holic and watch mainly American Dramas My OH can't understand why I need more than a few polishes, he will say "but you already have some" MEN!!
Errm I'm a bit boring, quite new to the nails, having bitten them for years and years, but I've stopped now already had a collection even though I couldn't use them much but I'm building it up more and more now.

I'm Becca (Lifeforms)
30ish, stay at home to a neurotically demanding cat, health problems etc etc.
Really quite newly addicted to nail varnishing and nail art. Seems to be a good evening filler
Not much else interesting to me really, cept I live just over the English Border, but would consider myself to be fully Scottish. Only a year in England now, so think I can easily fit in to being Scottish

Hiya,
I'm Linzi, I'm 27 and I'm from Scotland - wow, anyone remember Blind Date!?
I'm a beauty therapist and nail tech. While I do the whole shebang when it comes to treatments, I have always loved doing nails and have been painting my own, basically every night, for about 16/17 years. Or had, till shellac came out.
Since my polish lasts at least the fortnight now, I don't have time to do as many different designs, but I do love seeing all your ideas!
Again, in case anyone missed it, I'm freyasmum on MSE!

Hey guys.
I'm Jen, 27 and originally from Manchester but currently living in Australia on the beautiful Gold Coast. I'm a long term polish addict but quite new to blogging (not quite a year).
My boyfriend is pretty good about my addiction and generally just tuts at me when I'm looking at polish in shops or at blogs.

Hi All,
I'm Zoe. Very new to nail art but love doing it. Work part time, starting college in September and mum to 4 & 6 year old boys. Oh very good about the nail obsession and will often work out scientifically why something doesn't work.
Thanks to the ladies who set the forum up.

Hi all, i've been following your thread on MSE for a while now and was trying to pluck up the courage to post (i'm a bit of a lurker)
Anyway now they've stopped the links to all your lovely nails i've been brave and followed you here
I'm late 40's and have only just recently started painting my nails (and loving it) so am looking for lots of inspiration
I'll try and post some pictures but i'm a bit shy

Hello Wesker, we are all friendly so don't be shy.
Also, the pictures only need to be of your fingers, so we would never know who you are ( and no manicure can be as bad as my sponged gradient, so don't stress)

Hi all *waves*
I'm Rowena,24, from Glasgow (Dragon/Dragonette). I had a prof. manicure a few weeks ago and have fallen in love with doing my nails properly as it lasted nearly a week! I work on construction sites too and love having something tha I do not need to worry about so I need long lasting polish.
Confession time: Im very much a novice and can only make the expensive polishes last for ages, needs 5 days minimum (blame my laziness '')
Yes this feels very much like Blind Date!!

Hi ladies,
I'm Debbie, known by most of you as starrystarry. I'm 41 and I live near Manchester. I'm a medical underwriter for a life insurance company.
I've been a bit obsessed with nail varnish for years though it's got much worse since getting to know you lot!
My other loves are MUFC (boo xoxo, boo!), science progs on the telly (bit of an amateur nerd), jewellery and my dog.
xx

Re: Introduction
Hello everyone! I'm Karen and I've been a lurker on the MSE nail polish thread since the beginning. I previously used to post a lot on MSE but gave up a year or so ago when I got a bit sick of some of the bickering and nastiness on a couple of the threads I followed.
What can I say? I just love nail polish - particularly anything sparkly. I bit my nails from the age of four until my university finals when I decided enough was enough. Since growing my nails long I've become a bit obsessed with nail polish and must have at least 100 bottles. I've discovered a deep love of Poundland and also recently became the proud owner of a lovely silver Helmer unit. My OH thinks I am a bit mad.
It's great to find such a nice bunch of like-minded ladies who share my passion so I look forward to chatting with you all!

Hiya I'm Jo, aged 5 (plus a few more years but that would make me feel too old, and I'm not, really! Despite having a 16yo daughter ) I work part time for a HR department of a bank, but live for my days off and holidays!
I have a lovely long-suffering partner who frequently escapes to his allotment to escape me and daughter talking nails, buying and using polish, glitters, dotting and then we move onto shoes. Of which I have an equivalent stash. Imelda Marcos eat your heart out.
I love pink and sparkles, shopping and chocolate. Nuff about me!

Hi I'm Angie and another lurker on the MSE forum.
I am 44 and a mum of 4. I have only started looking after my nails in the last couple of months and now find it a bit of an obsession.
I love seeing all the fabulous nails you girls create. I am very jealous of all the nail art.

Hi I'm Hannah - I'm HanSpan on MSE.
I'm 46 and was working in IT for the Met until I got signed off ick a while ago - who knows where or waht I will go back to!
I was into nail polish a very very long time ago but stopped bothering and just kept them filed short for work - I can't type with long nails! But I've rediscovered the pleasure of having groovy colours (I'm not a pink and sparkly girl - greens and blues and odd things for me). Also how much nail polish technology has come on since I last bothered - there's so much more to have fun with! Unfortunately I'm a bit of a clutz so I am only very slowly getting to grips with doing anything more interesting than just a plain colour, maybe with an interesting top coat.
I'm a bit of a luddite so will no doubt struggle with this new forum - is there a way to get it to send me emails when someone posts?
