Re: All alone.......
Having a headache :-( I might play Sims 2! Right now I have a sim called Emilie Sucre who is dating and woohoo-ing her way through the entire population
Re: All alone.......
Nice Geordie, I LOVED the Sims 2! I wasn't very keen on the third one I miss it, I haven't got a computer to play it on at the moment.
I've just come back from sober clubbing, it was a very strange experience

I downloaded the Sims 3 to "try before you buy" and I just could not get used to the graphics. Sims 2 forever!! Did you have the expansion packs too?Laura wrote:Nice Geordie, I LOVED the Sims 2! I wasn't very keen on the third one :(I miss it, I haven't got a computer to play it on at the moment.

It takes a few drinks before I can stand being around the twats in clubs
Re: All alone.......
I only had a few, Uni, Nightlife and Business lol. I was fucking mad for the original Sims and had every single expansion known to man!Geordie Nails wrote:I downloaded the Sims 3 to "try before you buy" and I just could not get used to the graphics. Sims 3 is a guilty addiction of mine. Well, I get addicted to lots of games (mostly strategy or RPG) but when I'm in the mood that one turns into an obsession. I have to make myself stop playing now and then because I spend far too much on the store.

Re: All alone.......
Do you know about modthesims.info? I don't have that problem with a cash store on Sims 2 but with modthesims you can download tons of items for free that have been created by players. It's all allowed and works seamlessly with the game.JackieP wrote:Sims 3 is a guilty addiction of mine. Yeah, I use player created stuff as well. Problem is if you use too much of that it becomes a real pain to maintain. I love the game but EA are shitty coders, it doesn't take much for the whole thing to blow up on you unless you're really diligent with maintenance.Geordie Nails wrote:Do you know about modthesims.info? Me too. Then watched red dragon on bbc three!!!SueD wrote:I ended up watching Armageddon too and crying at the end as usual
He's out again tonight so I'll try to find some more random movies to watch!
Re: All alone.......
Well if you have a lot of content, it slows the whole game down. And if you have all the expansions like I do it's slow enough already (and I have a fairly decent PC). The only way to combat that is to use a player mod that looks like way too much hassle for me. I could code websites easier, lol.Geordie Nails wrote:Oh, really? :(What kind of maintenance?JackieP wrote:

Plus every time there's a game update it's a major pain since there are no compatibility checks or anything. It's quite obvious EA hate player created content (well they'd rather you buy it, of course!).

Re: All alone.......
Well I've just sorted my third load of washing out for the day. Made the bed and decided that I can get away with wearing those trousers for work tomorrow without ironing them. I need to make lunch for tomorrow once the rolls have defrosted and then I'm going to do my nails!
I do lead an exciting life......

Re: All alone.......
Been alone since dropping hubby off at the airport at 0715 to go down to watch the Chelsea match.
So far I have managed to dye my hair, sort out all the dried washing that was out from last week, put on all 5 loads of washing to empty the basket, dried said washing on the line, paired all the odds socks and thrown out the stragglers, added another sorted drawer to my helmer (previously bottom drawer was throw-it-in-we-have-people-coming-over), put all my remaining GlossyBox bits into one box, sorted out my PJ drawer and thinned it down (more than 6 is not required when I only ever rotate 2 pairs!), walked to the shop for lunch for the week, pulled apart all the cat food boxes into one neat box for the bin/dump if it's too big, oh and watched far too much tv on my laptop in the meantime.
This is the training day as next Saturday he will be away for a whole week. Normally he may go away for a day or two for work once a year, so with him going away for a whole week I have no idea what I'm going to do. Plus the cat is in a grump so not getting any love there. I used to live with a friend who only really came home to sleep (early 6am starts on a farm across town, then with the boyfriend all evening) so I did used to live alone, but all these years with hubby has made me go soft
Have to go back to the airport shortly to pick him up, and as we are down to two pouches I'll need to swing by Tesco for more cat food.
Can't even spend the time playing with my nails as I'm trying to see if I can actually make a manicure last more than a day without severely chipping, and I covered the plainness with glitter last night.

Re: All alone.......
I can empathise stationaryace, my hubby works away so I only get to see him Friday night to Sunday night. It's a right pain, and totally kills your social life. Not that I had one really, but you know... But in his line of work, and given where we live, it's either that or the dole.

Re: All alone.......
JackieP I have no idea how you do it on a regular basis. He's away at football tonight straight from work, but I passed through Poundland on the way home and found a bunch of pretties for once so much fun swatching and photographing and holding up to the sun to see the shine....
It may seem like I've gone a little insane but we never EVER have more than 1 decent colour in our local Poundland

Re: All alone.......
My OH is away for six weeks at a time (8 weeks this time because his company are b******s). You do get used to it sort of...it means you're totally justified in buying as much wine and chocolate as you like.
Re: All alone.......
Yeah, you sort of get used to it but don't like it. Although sometimes I'm glad when Monday rolls around.
