D'oh moment

I just read Jane's post on MSE forum (Poundland thread) that you can use crackle/shatter polish as an ordinary polish as long as you dont use it on top of anything else.
I didnt realise that.

Which other ones did you want Wesker?  I might be going to Exeter next week so I can have a look in the two Poundlands there if you like.

Lol i cant even remember which ones i bought, i'm sure i got the green and one other, i just didnt buy them all as i dont really use crackles

I read that a while ago but wondered does that include using a base coat? There were some pretty OPIs but I really don't do shatters, and they look a bit too stainy for bare nails.

I tried on a nail wheel with base coat and it made it shatter.

I bought one of the OPI shatters planning to use it alone but I think it will take about four coats so not sure I can be bothered! Noticed ebay is full of shatters now though, funny that

I literally can't make crackle polishes work, so they're all normal polish for me. Out of curiosity though (for those who can apply crackles properly) if you apply a second coat would it shatter?

I always use a second coat when I do crackle on my little sisters, it's the only way I can make anything good happen!
