Beauty products!
So I read lots of beauty blogs as well as nails and this has made me now addicted to high end make up! Urban decay mainly. Never used to wear make up until I discovered there primers! Now the make up stay on my face so I wear it more often!
So I need to buy urban decay naked palette 3, and NARS is releasing a new range for spring which is full of pink tones which I adore!!
Also loving illamasqua nail polishes at the moment as well as chanel!
I'm getting expensive tastes!

I used to be the same until my polish addiction really took off.
I used to only use Benefit make up, but I actually prefer Boots No 7 now.

I still have my polish addiction but find myself looking more and more at the beauty counters!
Re: Beauty products!
I'm quite set in my ways with make up, I use what works and don't tend to stray too far! I am thinking about getting an Illamasqua foundation though as they go very light.

Re: Beauty products!
I recently bought an Avon supershock gel eyeliner after reading rave reviews about them. Arrived on Friday. Hopeless, it was halfway down my cheeks by mid morning. Just goes to show, you have to find what suits you, the blogs can't always be relied on. I'll go back to using my trusty old Collection 2000 liquid eyeliner. I've tried so many different eyeliners now and I always end up going back to that one.

Re: Beauty products!
I'd not bothered with makeup for years until I started with the beauty boxes & joined som FB groups. They are almost as bad influences as you lot!
I've got crazy greasy skin, and turn all sorts of foundations orange so have enjoyed a few years of experimentation but I've now settled on clinique primer and maxfactor compact foundation.
I've got an almost full, full size Urban decay pore hiding primer plus all manner of other small samples and testers of foundation if anyone is interested.
In terms of eyeliners I've got absolutely loads. Everybloodything slides down my face - a combination of the uber greasy skin and endlessly slightly weepy/itchy eyes means I look like a panda in minutes:( I've finally found something reasonably acceptable in the bourgeous intelligent liner (or called something like that - its got 3 prongs). So again - if anyone fancies doing a deal on a selection of liners I don't mind letting go of pretty much all the rest. Oh & eyebrow stuff too probably - I'm still searching the perfect eyebrow fillier and I've plenty I've tried along the way!
Sorry probably shouldn't be offering here so if anyone is interested then PM me.

Re: Beauty products!
Someone over on MSE gave me a great tip for a primer...milk of magnesia. Yes, the stuff in the blue bottles. Works brilliantly for me, far better than any actual primers I've tried. You have to use it sparingly else you end up looking chalky though. I use it on my eyes, it helps to keep my shadow and liner in place. I don't wear foundation all the time but when I do, I mix it with a little bit of milk of magnesia and it keeps the shine away.

Re: Beauty products!
I'm 31 and my skin is still like a teenagers, greasy and spotty. Use kiko primer and maybelline foundation at the moment. But my skin only tolerates it for so long before it stops working again!
Re: Beauty products!
I like bare essentials and two faced mainly. The Kiko stuff is okay as well. I'm a sucker for pretty packaging
I used to love urban decay but they had their marketing all around anti animal cruelty, then decided to sell in china, they did an about turn when the vegans starting having a massive go, they apologised and then they sold to Loreal or someone anyway. All very body shop esq. Its such a shame, as I'll buy from a brand which is honest about where they money goes (bad company or not as long I know and the big companies are actually pretty honest) but if they lie to get sales and treat customers like mugs with their marketing then it stops me from buying. Shame

their better than sex mascara is amazing!
Re: Beauty products!
I'm another one that sticks with what they know! I've tried loads of pricey brands and always come back to Max Factor foundation, Maybelline Stiletto or Colossal Mascara, Dior Ultrashine lipsticks or just a balm. I'm struggling with eyeliner/kohl though no-one seems to make brown/black any more and mine's running very low!

I did a bit of googling and bizarrely some of the cheapest makes seem to do black/brown W7, LA colours and NYX - up the prices a bit Jane Iredale do it - then you're into silly money (IMO)

Re: Beauty products!
I've become a bit obsessed about trying STEAMCREAM since reading about it, but I really don't need it as I have gallons of unused face cream and moisturiser.

It smells nice but its far too rich for me so I use it as handcream! I got it in a LIB sample set - they don't seem to have it any more but is worth keeping an eye on there s things do seem to get repeated pretty often.

Beauty supplies
Does anyone know where to get high branded expansive cosmetics but at a discounted price? it seems whenever I buy expensive cosmetics I use them up really fast... so I've kind of stopped buying the expensive stuff and gone for the cheaper less high end stuff...
if anyone knows of any cheap websites or places other than tk maxx then please let me know
Thanks
Tina

Re: Beauty products!
I'd be wary of anywhere selling discounted high end stuff as there are so many fakes around. I'm not all that concerned at using fake nailpolish or say blushes, but I really don't fancy fake foundation or eyeliner or anything, particularly after the stores of stuff with lead in it coming out of China. I poo-pood the stories until I read in the paper about someone being arrested for selling dangerous fake stuff on ebay.
