Fostering a hoggie!
For those of you who read my blog or friend me on Facebook I've got a hedgehog called Holly who I adore totally.
I've joined loads of groups for hogs on FB and one of those groups is called help for hoggies. They basically have foster carers all over the uk. They then rescue hogs using money raised through donations, most are hogs which people have got bored of and are in poor condition so need some loving.
I'm picking up a hog tomorrow who is in horrible condition if the advert piccies are anything to go by. Hopefully I can help her feel better and then help her find her new forever home. I have to say I'm super nervous about it, but pleased that I can do something to help.
Am I bonkers?!!

No you're not mad.....but how could anyone be cruel to a hoggie?! Surely they must know what they're letting themselves in for, they're not exactly something to buy in a pet shop are they....

Sadly some pet shops do sell them. Unfortunately they are just in it for the profit and give out bad advice such as they can be kept on sawdust.
Other times people buy them from breeders and then just get bored. So many ad's saying that!

Awww gosh, I couldn't foster an animal. I'd never give them back!! But, it's always lovely to rescue animals so well done xx

Hehe Maddy you will end up like me. I started off with one hamster and ended up with four!
I'd love a hedgehog, but I don't have the space right now.
