I hadn't actually posted on this new site, though I was a regular on the old one .I haven't been around because I moved house and had an operation and ended up in hospital after it with complications and have had lots of stress as my voicebox got damaged in the op and the doc doesn't know if I'll be able to sing again and I was in a choir and I have managed to bite my nails off again grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.I'm a failure Please inspire me with some pics of beautiful nails.

Re: Tumbleweed!
Thank you. I painted my very short bitten nails with an opi mini lavender kind of colour. It was the ballet collection one. Forgot the name. And added a pink glitter polish over the top. 2 true glitterati shade 2. Reminds me of opi pirouette my whistle but pink. Lol. Can't wait till they grow again. I hadn't bitten them for 6 months and was so proud of myself.

We've got loads of ladies posting pics on here these days and all our nails are different shapes/lengths, they all look fab, I love seeing everyone's pics. Mine are far from a perfect shape believe me, it takes some careful filing/shaping to make them look decent. Mine seem to look best squared off, some people suit oval shapes better. You just need to find the right shape for your hands.

Sorry to hear about your recent troubles and I hope you're feeling a bit more positive today. You're certainly not a failure - as a fellow nail biter I know all too well how easy it is to start chewing when the stress is piling on. I chewed my nails for about 18 years and managed to give up, but even now when I'm stressed I still find myself chewing at the skin sometimes without even realising. As xoxo says, you'll get there again.

Really? Thanks, you haven't seen the state of my fingers! It usually helps when I have polish on as I don't tend to nibble so much.polishrose wrote:Thx Babafette-I never would have thought you were a biter.

Re: Tumbleweed!
My nails have good weeks and bad weeks – they’re a right state at the moment! Much TLC needed before being half decent again.
Anyway, I’ve been rather AWOL, but was off on holiday (skiing, so nails had to be cut right back or they break) and horrendous amounts of work either side. Roll on xmas – I need a break!
(The ski trip does not count as a holiday – far too much exercise and drinking combined to be at all restful. Good fun though )

Re: Tumbleweed!
There is no way on earth you would catch me on ski's
I have decided I need a kick up the rear and I am going to put more effort in here.
This is combined with the shop and work. But by george even if I only come on during my breaks at work ( now) I am going to do it EVERY day.
