Re: ninjablossomnails
It dawned on me whilst I was clinging by my nails for dear life at the top of a (not very high at all, but it felt like 50 feet up ) waterslide last week that although gels aren't everyone's cup of tea they might give your poor hardworking sailing nails protective armour if you're off on a big trip? Mine have been totally abused over the past week and they're quite long (for me) and actually look the best they have for a while now that the gel's come off.

Looks great!
I've not really attempted much nail art but I have some tape so might try something like this. You've inspired me.

I reckon a bit of both is the way to go Ninja - I'm especially fond of the Vitagel base (remove with non acetone and change as many times as takes your fancy, no dragging of the Nail Envy either!) and the essence peel off gel base - I'll be blogging about this one very soon
Have left a comment on your new site too x
