Re: Introduction
Hi, I've always been a lurker on mse but thought I'd start posting on here.
About me - I'm 25 and mum to two girls (9 and 7), I've only really started doing my nails the last 6 months so not that great at it, slowly getting better though. I love looking at all your pics for inspiration as this is something i struggle with and find it very easy to go back to my 'safe' polishes but would love to be a bit more adventurous! I work in a primary school so can wear whatever colours i want to really so I'm quite lucky there

Hi I'm another long time lurker from MSE my names kath and I'm 41 from east anglia. I have got into nail varnishes in the last few months inspired by all the pictures on the thread. I am holiday at the moment and have dragged my husband into sephora and kiko for more nail varnishes! Who needs culture when you can get new colours

Hi,
I'm Gillian. Lurked on MSE for a bit.
I am a 40 yr old mum of 2 and a Nursery teacher. Only have nails during the summer as my job wrecks them!!!
Am determined to keep them this year though having discovered all the fantastic polishes and effects out there

Re: Introduction
Hi,
finally found my way over here
I'm Jayne, 36 y/o. Have recently got back into painting my nails and totally inspired by seeing all your pics. Although it tends to mean I spend way too much money on polish, plates, dotting tools... trying to resist the striping tape for now Anyway I can happily blame you lot for making me skint!! I'm not much of a poster but more of a reader/looker of pictures.
I'm typing this with 1 finger because I've just put on some Rimmel - purple pulse and it's still tacky.
Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday weekend

Re: Introduction
Another lurker(ish) here though I did occasionally contribute to the thread over on MSE :-) I'm 23 and MIS Manager for a well known holiday company - my team is all men at work so it's nice to create pretty colourful nails! I've always liked painting them anyway since I stopped biting them and they actually grew but have become obsessed since discovering nail stamping. Recently I treated myself to the Red Carpet Manicure soak off gel nail system which is amazing so i'm constantly planning what to do next x

Re: Introduction
I was always an irregular poster on the MSE thread but think I'll feel much more comfortable posting over here now (although I seem to nearly always forget to photograph my nails once I've finally finished painting them!).
My name's Emma and I'm 29. I'm originally from Newcastle (and a Newcastle fan for the fellow football fans on here) but now live near Huntingdon. I work in University administration and am lucky that I can wear what I want, nails wise, for work (although maybe I just think I can and everyone else thinks I should tone it down!).
I always felt that we shouldn't really be on MSE seeing as the thread resulted in all of us spending more money!

Hi everyone
I'm Sam, I'm 23 and I'm from Wales, although this weekend I'm moving to Kent to start a new job as a Medical Physicist (I'm wondering how long I'm going to get away with wearing nail polish for before they tell me I can't...). I used to flood all my Facebook friends news feed with pictures of my nails, so a few months ago I started a blog

Hello!
I am Claire, 28 (not for much longer!) and live in the north west. I live with my husband and Flora and The Machine; my two cats who are very much into delivering me dead/nearly dead presents.
I am utterly polish obsessed so I suspect this may be the right place for me. I have a blog but I'm not sure what the etiquette is on linking to blogs here.
Looking forward to getting to know you all x

Re: Introduction
Another MSE lurker here. Well that's not quite right, I posted once or twice but no good at uploading photos (mainly because I keep losing my camera connector for my laptop!) so dipped in and out as a lurker.
I'm Cat, 27, from Scotland. Having spent 8 years in catering with "no polish!" rules at work, as soon as I graduated and got a full time job the nails grew out and the varnish collection went a little crazy or so I thought until I found the original thread!

Hi, I am Ali, maddiemay on MSE, been away for a couple of weeks and just found you here. Lots of familiar names I have been a nail polish addict for about 10 years and had to buy lots of stuff from the US in those days. I don't do nail art or stamping (tried Konad, but couldn't do it well enough so gifted it away). Like on the MSE site (thanks to Saira for getting that up and running), I will drop in from time to time if you girls think that will be OK, not good with posting pictures. I am the proud owner of a red Helmer and about 330 polishes

Re: Introduction
Hi, I’m Fi. I joined the group over on MSE, though never managed to post much – I don’t get as much time to browse online as I’d like, but when I did, I was checking out people’s blogs and nail art, which kept me inspired to do my own (normally quite badly!) and grow my nail polish collection, so thanks everyone!
I’m early 30’s, living in Switzerland for almost 2 years now. I’m Irish, and was in London for over 5 years before transferring here.
My passions are skiing (though it’s too warm now, boo), travel, parties, rugby and F1.
And painting my nails of course I had a few people comment at the end of last week (when I had bare nails for a few days) that they never see me without polish – they were shocked!
I only started frequently wearing polish less than a year ago – previously it was only occasionally as I thought it made my nails weaker and break easily. Then I started using a nail strengthener I bought years ago any time I painted my nails (inspired by the MSE no toiletries/npaa challenge) and now they (almost) never break, and need filing down a lot
All my polishes are just on a shelf at the moment, (with nail art stuff, SV, tools etc on another shelf) but reading here really makes me want a helmer
