I got a job.....

Well, temporary, but I've got 2 weeks paid work in a local high school where I've jobbed before as an art tech. I'm CRB checked so I get called occasionally to help out here and there. Looking forward to the money but I'm really worried how I'm going to cope with my joints.

Anyway, if you notice I'm not here much over the next 2 weeks, thats why!

But yes, hopefully this is the start of things looking up. Interestingly Steve has a job interview as well on Friday, it's closer to our current home but weirdly its exactly half way between here and Coventry so we could still move to Cov if we got the chance.

AND, the best part.....2 weeks full time work will finish the Scottie Fund!!!

Last year my beloved little scottie dog died, I had bob the Westie and Jack who was a younger Scottie. He developed liver disease and despite a very long fight died in February.
Steve adored jack, he was his dog really and he took it very hard when we lost him, he swore no more dogs.
He finally caned

Trying to type on phone arghhh..

He caved last month and said I could save for another so all the money I make on nails goes into a savings account for a puppy. I've saved about £300 of the £600 I'd like to achieve so this will top it up.
If course if we move though puppy is on hold

Ooh I've got an office!
My feet are bouncing. Spent all day ordering in supplies and then in the middle of it a year 9 boy decided to mess with a sewing machine and rammed the needle right through his finger pinning him to the machine.....

I didn't realise that you would be starting so soon - apart from the daft sewing kid how'd it go?
To me, ordering supplies = shopping = happy (the subject matter is irrelevant). Hope it was a good day

LMAO never thought of plants! I've worked at this school before, I applied for a job there as a media tech about 2 years ago, got down to the final two and lost out to the other man. It was a panel of 4 interviewing, one being the head of art and the other the deputy head. Well the head of art and I became friends, I was already good friends with the head of science there as well so its a fun place to work really. The deputy head wanted me for the original job and was a bit miffed I didn't get it. She's now the Head.....

I've gone in to help the Head of Art do bits and pieces over the years so I was already CRB Checked within the school, she can just call me, say she needs help tomorrow etc and I can usually do it. They have just moved into a new school and all the boards around the corridors need filling with work and looking quite corporate ready for a parents open evening in 2 weeks so she called me and asked if I could start asap and get them done

It was a lovely day of sitting in the office and ordering lots of nice coloured papers and borders ready to start covering the boards tomorrow (providing my next day delivery actually arrives reasonably early).

Day 2 of my job and I have a day off lol.
I ordered all my paper supplies yesterday before 2 for next day delivery. Stressed to the office that this was needed and why. Order placed at 4pm.....
No paper until tomorrow afternoon so nothing at all I can do now. Oh well, the sun is shining, I need to catch up on nails and start helping Tom move so it's all good
