Anyone got any Emily De Molly pics?
I bought Oceanic Forces and Cosmic Forces and I'm finding them quite a disappointment - think it might just be me the way everyone raves about these polishes but wondered if anyone had any pics of their own applications so I can compare?
They look very disappointing compared to the superpopular bloggers' pics... I really think it's just me

Re: Anyone got any Emily De Molly pics?
I put pics on my blog last week.
falling skies photo didn't do it justice, it was stunning on, cosmic forces was lovely on as well but a bugger to photograph. I really loved simplicity but it was top coat hungry and I have seen some photos of it that made it look like porridge, I'm guessing that not enough top coat was used.

Re: Anyone got any Emily De Molly pics?
Thanks Laura
Number one tip - any glitter polish but especially those with large dots should be turned upside down for as long as you can before use. I usually do it at least two hours beforehand and find my water bottle is absolutely brilliant at holding them, in the spout with the lid removed. Second is I'm not sure but I don't think you used undies? (really hoping that's not just an Australian word), a base colour maybe sounds better. Now this is not essential with EmilydeMolly Forces as they will become opaque but personally I like a solid colour to work on, it also means those precious indie polishes last a little bit longer as you're not using them up to make it opaque. Third tip is to dab the glitter on. This works much better if you have a base colour. Instead of applying like a normal polish, you dab the glitter onto your nails. You end up with better coverage. Here is a great video tut [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I hope that helps and lets you enjoy your EmilydeMolly's more. I promise just from standing upside down you will have the larger dots on your brush in no time. I average about two on a brush.
Have a great day

I've worn mine at last - here are a few pics, there are more on my blog!

The glitters in this one (Serenity) are quite small so no issues not being able to get them out, but I'd definitely second the recommendation to keep the bottle upside down for a bit before you use your Cosmic Forces
