Dainty Doll in Poundland
Been in today to look for OPI (nothing in Newcastle Under Lyme) but they did have Nicola Roberts Dainty Doll Eyeshadows.
These are really nice and can retail from a fiver up to £14 depending on where you buy from, but at a quid they are bargainous.
These are in a little box, the eyeshadow itself comes with its own little mirror as well. I bought three and am really pleased with them. Heavily pigmented as well

I bought one of these the other day, a green one. I haven't tried it yet but it looks nice and I had a quick swatch. I like the packaging, it looks and feels expensive (which it should do when it retailed at £14 or probably higher).

They had these in Dover too but I look really evil if I wear eyeshadow so gave them a swerve.

I've always fancied trying Dainty Doll as it's aimed at people with fair skin like me.

I have some of the mineral face powder and it's great, love it! It came from Fragrance direct when I was placing (yet another) polish order.

Thanks again for the heads up on this Jane, I managed to get a beige Dainty Doll eyeshadow in Poundland before I went to St Ives.

The eyeshadow base is lovely. I have a complexion akin to 'being dead for several days' so I have to be quite careful what I use on my face. I've found the shadow base brightens my eyes on its own actually and I don't use anything with it. I look 'awake and dead' rather than 'dead dead'

Don't bother Babs. I've been hunting for the perfect foundation for years and I thought Dainty Doll was my saviour as I'm SUPER pale. The colours are good but the actual foundation itself is horrible... the high price tag and the "niche" selling point make it seem like it's going to be amazing but the quality of the foundation is worse than a high street brand.
The eyeshadows look nice though.
