Help with bubbling
I bought Twilight Picture Polish a few weeks back and found little bubbles kept appearing on the top layer (3 thin coats). I put it down to the polish being a bit meh. But I did try again with a different base coat and got the same problem.
Really annoying as its such a pretty colour.
But now I've just tried Butter London Teddy Bear and its the same bloody thing and again I've tried 2 base different base coats.
Base coats used were Seche clear base coat and Kiko ridge filling.
So if its not the polishes and not the base coats - is it my nails? is it my application?
Help, I'm getting very annoyed.

Re: Help with bubbling
It might be the heat, try rolling your polish rather than shaking it.

Re: Help with bubbling
I agree with Jasmina, if could be the heat. I've had bubbles a couple of times over the last fortnight. I never normally get bubbles.

Re: Help with bubbling
a mate emailed me with the same problem this afternoon and i had a light bulb moment!
When i was in St Lucia earlier this year, a woman told me to keep Nail Polish in the fridge... obviously thats not an option, but I thought maybe they do it because its hot! so I just put one in there for 1/2 hour and used it. So far no bubbling... might be worth a shot...?

I'm in agreement with all of you on this. Another thing you could do is wait a little longer to apply the second and third coat

I didn't want to recommend the fridge as I have heard of the technique but never tried it and I would have felt guilty if it was pants advice.

Re: Help with bubbling
defo still no bubbling - I think the fridge worked for me. but yeah don't shout at me if it doesn't work for some
Re: Help with bubbling
I couldn't even be bothered to change my manicure today- not like me at all. Heat makes nail polishing hard work.

Re: Help with bubbling
I know what you mean, I've got multi coloured toe nails from testing polish last week and can't be arsed to sort it out.
My nails on my right hand are nubbies and I desperately want to file the left hand down so they even - but need to get some blog pictures done but its taking me 3 x as long to paint them. all woe.

Re: Help with bubbling
It'll be the heat affecting it - the chemicals can't take extreme changes. A fridge is the ideal place but not exactly practical.
In this heat, I can regularly be found with my gels and monomers on top of a cool pad - you know the ones that you get for putting in coolbags for picnics and stuff? Works a treat - especially for gels which just wanna melt in the heat. Mind you, so so I, so fairs fair
