The Nail Arcade - New UK Based Pop Up Nail Polish Shop (from 4th August - for one week!)

Hi Everyone, this is my first posting on the NPAA forum (its lovely to meet you all!)

I've just noticed an advertisement and I wondered if anyone was interested in a soon to open online pop up nail polish shop called The Nail Arcade, their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/TheNailArcade has promised- To bring the best of the world's nail polish brands to the UK - without nasty shipping costs and customs charges. Their shop is due to open on 4th August and will be selling for one week.

Ooooh, lovely to meet you too Laquerlover and it looks very interesting but I can't make head nor tail of the facebook page, i.e. what's for sale during the one week pop up shop and what's just swatches. The BigCartel site just shows 'under construction' nothing else to see there  .
Without a tad more information regarding prices and whether Paypal is an option or not, and what happens with customer service after one week Id be very cautious.

Where could I find the original advert that you mentioned please Laquerlover1, it may provide some more info. Thanks

Thank you for your words of caution re; the website. I found the link to the Nail Arcade Facebook page through another Nail Polish Forum.

I gather they will be selling the polishes that they have swatched such as Dance Legend, Serum No 5, Cadillacquer and others, and reading the postings on the facebook page the postage cost will be added to the cost of the polish (with the polishes costing no more than £10).

I'm not sure about the payment options (paypal etc), or links to their customer services (after the shop closes), hopefully there should be some clarity when their website goes live on 4th.

I'm not sure if they are open for just a week or they maybe open for longer? They are asking for suggestions for other nail polishes which will be added to the stock in their shop - so you could be right they may be testing the water and may be open a bit longer than a week - I'm not sure - who knows?.

It may be worth contacting them directly if your interested, their contact address according to their facebook page is thenailarcade@gmail.com

The only other nail forum I know is on purse forum but that's American, so I'd love to know if there is another group of us knocking about!!!

This sounds like an interesting idea, but I'd be a little wary of purchasing from somewhere that's only around for a week in case of any problems with the order!

Any one had a look and bought anything? I'm a bit glittered out and went meh at a lot of them

I had a look this morning, the layout of the website was so awful I looked at a couple of polishes and closed the page. Everything seemed to be sold out too so I don't know how this is supposed to last a week.

Poor!

I had a quick look first thing this morning but nothing really took my fancy to be honest.

I liked the look of a couple but fortunately I'm on a no-buy! Plus I wouldn't buy from a shop that fucks off after a week.

Eloquently put there Geordie  , but I'm right there with you on both points.
