TV shows??????
Okay, we are due to go away in September, and we plan on doing bugger all. Seriously. Just laying like lettuce and watching the world go by.
So, I need to take lots of things to watch to keep us occupied.
So far we have
Spooks
Luther
Dexter - series 1
Anything else you girls can suggest?

Re: TV shows??????
Depends what sort of things you like really. I don't suppose you'd get away with taking the complete collection of Sex and the City.....

I would, but I may get my arse set on fire. We like drama things, lots of explosions.
I think we will take lost too

Re: TV shows??????
I'd like to watch the entire run of This Life again in one go. I started watching Lost when it first aired but bits of it were too gory for me so I never got past the first season.

Yes, I recall one particularly cringeworthy scene where Anna shags Egg's dad on the sofa.Sally Magpie wrote:I watched this life recently, it was good, but I forgot how full of sex it was.

Re: TV shows??????
Where are you going ?
I need to start looking for our holiday in November.
That is what me and my husband always do load the .mp4 player plug it into the hotel tv and watch shows in between lounging in the sun eating walking etc. We are quite boring on holiday.
I love American cop shows and shows like CSI NCIS Burn Notice loads and loads and loads I can name.
Alias is a fab series which ended a few years ago

Re: TV shows??????
I will look at Alias.
We are going to Devon, with the dog.
If you are looking for November, and like a quiet holiday where there is nothing much to do look at the Sandos San Blas Reserva Ambiental in Tenerife. Seriously the most amazing hotel I ever stopped in.

Re: TV shows??????
Thanks I will look that up as our usual hotel in Tenerife the Costa Adeje Gran is getting really over priced and is over budget already

Re: TV shows??????
We usually pay direct with the hotel, simply because you don't have to pay until you arrive.
Re: TV shows??????
Good choices so far!
The walking dead- might just be about zombies but I was hooked!
Breaking bad
If you like spooks - strike back. Season 1 is more spooks like and the tone changes in season 2 and 3 but all 3 season are excellent
Mad men?
Do you prefer less sexy shows? Because even though Spartacus has a lot of sex and blood - its way more than that but if you want to avoid lots of sex avoid this. But it was one of the best shows ever!
Cover affairs is alias like and quite watchable ( sometimes I just want to slap the lead tho)

Defo look at Strike Back then
Re: TV shows??????
Breaking Bad. Single handedly the best TV show EVER made. When this ends next month I will cry.
Sons of Anarchy. Explosions, lots of shooting. Rather gorgeous biker.
Suits. Really good, funny as well actually.
Mad Men. Good, but very slow. I think you have to have an interest in design and advertising of the period to keep watching. Steve hated it.
Walking Dead. Because thats just epic.
Dexter. The only serial killer you end up rooting for.
You may have gathered I don't watch UK TV. Other than the football its a rarity I watch anything English. I mostly download US Series.

Love Greys, it's about the only thing I watch these days, when it's on.
I'm no help, I usually paint my nails about 9pm every other night and by the time I'm done someone else is usually half way through a film I don't want to watch

It is, and the will they won't they theme of mike and Rachel also hooks you. Mostly I just love Harvey, he's amazing and I challenge any girl not to fall in love with him.
