Ripped off photos - a lesson in watermarking!
I was browsing the android app store the other night and came across something called 'Nail Artist Designs'. It was free and always looking for inspiration I downloaded it....

It transpires that what it is, is a collection of ripped off images of nail art, most of which are familiar

It is basically a jigsaw puzzle but my god is it addictive! Not come across any of my own images yet but it's interesting that these people seem to be stealing our pictures. Worth pointing out that none of the photos I've completed yet have any watermarking on them so girls, if you value your pics please put your blog names across them in big letters!

theres a few facebook pages like this - but you can tell where they have removed the watermark. And even photoshopped some of the actual nails
it sucks.
it sucks.

Laura, apparently there are lots of wesbites/apps to do it, but I just use powerpoint (add text box, make text a bit transparent, then click text box and picture and save as picture).

I blog from my phone now as my camera broke, so I'll see if there's an app

I just had a go at watermarking today and hated it, it felt like I'd taken something away from my manicure. I'll have another go with the next blog post.
Re: Ripped off photos - a lesson in watermarking!
I curved it around my middle cuticle as I've seen other bloggers do. I'm thinking about putting it a little larger but semi-opaque over the polish bottle or the bottom right next time.

I like the style and font - but it will be easy for someone to cut it out if they wanted to
Re: Ripped off photos - a lesson in watermarking!
That's what I feared, but I really don't want to put it over my hands or cuticles

I second what Ninja said. I know the Crumpet used to put her's in the corner, which didn't stop nail polish direct cropping it off and pinching her photos. What about like that but over your fingers?

Meepity?
And that's just so bad if nail polish direct did that. Soooooo bad.
