Gosh holographic

Sent BF to get another Accessorize 1/2 price polish and have a look for the GOSH polish today as I've been at the charity shop all afternoon, got a message saying 'Couldn't find them at all' - humph, never send a man to do your jobs! I know that Accessorize definitely have some of the half price polishes in because they had about 20 around the till yesterday!

So I'll go tomorrow :p

My man found it for me today!! Had just left work when I got a pic thru of him holding it. I think that people inside the other vans heard me....

It was sold out of one of the Glasgow city centre stores but musy have been in another one. Its completely thrown my planned nails for next week - so I'll put it on Fri n see what happens

Before I waste any, do I need any special base or top coat to use with it? I've heard of holo top coats but never really looked into it. This forum is bad for my bank balance

I've just sammiched mine with some no 7 top coat. 3 layers holo, 2 top coat from no 7. then i'll put on a seche vite top coat. (so base, holo, top coat, holo, top coat, holo, and then the seche vite top coat) 2 might have done, but i suck at applications, and noticed a few bits I didn't like
It looks kinda matt with out a top coat, so for shiny look, that last top coat is a must. But as much as I like the look of it, I need one that will definitely last a couple of days to sat, so will prolly remove it later tonight. The do it again on sunday evening.
I suck at applying neatly, so this is pre-cleanup

Was planning to do a blue gradient (No.7) with an accent nail of nail inc nail jewellery. That can wait!! Holo for the Fringe? Hell yes!

Wow everyone is getting it!!! So pleased!

Personally I just used base coat, 2 coats of polish and then SV topcoat.

The halo did disappear a little with the top coat on but still looks great in my opinion!

I have a confession to make - my OH didnt just buy 1. It turns out there was a 3 for 2 offer on Gosh so he got 3 and gave one to his mum. In my defense, there are more supplies coming into Glasgow on Friday and be sure to ask as they were in a drawer not on the shelves

I'm debating when they come into my store whether to get two and a bottle of Galaxy or just get one and get a bottle of a random colour as well as the Galaxy... Hmm!

Don't feel bad. If I can get my hands on any I'll be buying several bottles. And I already have a bottle of the original. Guilt goes out the window when it comes to nail polish.

I did the three for two offer as well. Got galaxy, Holo, and a glittery purple one. Seemed daft not to

My guilt is easing somewhat now as I bought 3!!!!! At least I won't ever run out!

I also wondered about nabbing the third one from Oh's mum.... I know she wont use it!!

Yeah, I've rationed my beloved 549, couldn't bear the thought of running out and I didn't think I'd ever get another bottle.

On the subject of holos. My other fave is an old discontinued Virgin Vie pink holo from the Fantasia range. I've had it for several years and like GOSH 549 I've rationed it to make it last. Can't buy it anywhere now, even on eBay. Last week my sis found a bottle in the depths of her stash and donated it to me World Champion Sister.

I've really got a passion for halos now! I WANT and NEED jade halos. Really hope the brazil order comes off.

They had this in my local Superdrug yesterday but i didnt buy it cos i've never spent that much on a polish before.
I saw the sign that said 3 for 2 on all make-up but wasnt sure nail polish was classed as make-up? i was too embarrased to ask
Now i know it is i might just treat myself

Going out for a nice meal with the BF tonight so I think it might be the perfect day to trial it

Does that work for all Holo's?

I am not too sure I just remember reading it when I first bought the Gosh holo a few years ago and I couldn't get hold of the official aqua base.

It seems to have done my application no harm but it is the only holo I own

Will give it a go when I get back from Tesco, I have a Clear Rimmel Matt somewhere

I got a bottle as well, but I'm a bit ambivalent about it. I adore the holo shine, but the base colour is too pale for my taste. Not sure it goes well with my skin!
