My god that's some chipping! What topcoat did you use?

HanSpan, I can't believe that! I have that polish and I used to wear it ALL the time before I started doing nail art because it was so hard-wearing!

I was wearing super sparkly gold and purple leopard print, but then this happened when I was buttoning up my coat:

Well, the PVA base definitely made it easier to remove!

I think Seche Vite as usual over 2 coats of the Barry M Glitter. I tried the PVA glue as a base under glitter so can only assume that is the problem. I never usually have problems with chipping, even with polishes others complain about. That was after just a morning really, when a whole day had gone with packing and so on it was a complete mess and I picked it all off again. I guess I'll have to just give in and wear it over regular base coat and suffer the removal woes.

That's lovely! And actually one completely missing nail is less icky looking than the mess of chipping I had. I assume it must be the PVA base that caused the chipping too, but it took a bit of effort to peel off whilst the chipping was involuntary and continuous and really bleeding annoying! I'm not sure I'll bother trying that again, although peeling it off was weirdly addictive.

Haha I get quite excited when it comes to peeling off time. I've had a few times where it's been like you're describing though, and it just comes off in little bits. Today's manicure, at least, didn't disappoint on the peeling front. Got every nail off in one piece lol.

I use pva quite a lot now and it normally stays in place, however the other night one popped off when I was peeling potatos! Doh

I'm wearing a pink holo today. I've had Jermyn Street on earlier in the week as I had to have sensible nails for an interview, so I was in need of some bling today. I must apologise in advance for being lazy though, this is a photo from the last time I wore this polish (too tired tonight and the battery is flat on my phone).

Barry M Jelly Watermelon with Barry M Blue Sparkle accent ring fingers, love this combo! Picked them up the other day and wow, they are gorgeous paired together. The Watermelon is a little dark for my tastes but it is lovely.

It's the Aqua Glitter, I couldn't remember the exact name yesterday I haven't got a camera here, if it's still good when I get back tomorrow night/Monday morning I'll post!

You had me worried for a second there! Not that if blue sparkle did exist I could possibly justify another blue Barry M glitter lol.

Saw some Xmas style stickers in gold and silver in a shop here yesterday. Combination of baubles, reindeer head, swirly ribbons, and a few snowflakes. They were all so nice I didn´t know which ones to get. I bought coloured ones last year, christmas puds, snowman, baubles, christmas trees but didn´t like them on my nails.

Anyway I can't believe that pretty much no-one commented on this as its one of the loveliest colours I've had in a while. But there's absoluely horrid tipwear on a few fingers Primarily left index.
I wonder if the use of OPI quick dry topcoat instead of my normal Seche Vite left it more vulnerable.

anyone any thoughts about the OPI topcoat? shall I ditch it? (one more space for a new polish in the box!)

I have Nubar Reclaim. I've actually never worn it, but I often used to sit and look at the bottle in sunlight... It's a very pretty colour

I used to use OPI Rapid Dry Topcoat, but it started bubbling horrifically, so I ditched it and bought Seche Vite. It used to smudge my nail art as well

My nails are currently *whispers* naked.
