"Friend" was a complete and utter cock to me yesterday, still fuming!
Details man! so we can fume for you too.
Lol! Well basically I went to the cinema on Wednesday with 3 friends (P, B and M) to see the Hangover 3 (hilarious btw). M drove us to the cinema in Crawley, about 7 or 8 miles, 15/20 minutes in the car.
We got to the cinema in plenty of time but there was only 1 seat left for the 8pm showing, with the next showing half an hour later. M insisted that he could not go to the later showing because he had to be in bed by 10:30 for work the next day. P, B and I were trying to talk him round, saying "what's an extra half a hour going to hurt" etc but he insisted that we had to see another film and suggested we see Star Trek. I flat out refused to waste my time and money on that load of shit and offered to make my own way home if they wanted to go and see that film instead.
We deliberated over it for a while, P suggested The Great Gatsby but M refused because he'd never heard of it before. P went out for a cigarette and I followed her out as I needed to make a call.
We were outside for 2/3 minutes and suddenly M comes storming out of the doors, walks straight past us and heads back to his car. B was trailing behind him reluctantly. They turned around and I signalled for M to come back but he didn't. Then I called B's phone and said that P and I were going to watch the film and it's up to him if he wants to join us. M carried on storming off to the car, B came back to the cinema.
My mum picked the 3 of us up from the cinema and when we got home, P and I had received messages from M on Facebook saying how ungrateful we were and that we were spoilt and never say thank you for anything and that we take advantage of him. We were both then blocked and deleted on Facebook by him. Bear in mind these messages were sent at 11:30pm, an hour after he supposedly needed to be in bed!
1) Obviously he didn't need to be home so early as he wasn't going to be in bed at 10:30 - he was the one making it hard for us by refusing to stay half an hour later
2) How can we say "thank you for the lift" to someone who's stormed off in a huff?
3) Was it so awful of us to want to see the film we had intended to see?
The guy is just a monumental dickhead, sorry for the essay

This is the exact reason I like to be the one driving places. He sounds really odd.

Re: What's On Your Mind?
the whole 'i have to be back at 1030' sounds like attention seeking, is he generally an insecure person? likes to feel centre of attention and have the group revolve around him?
I can't be doing with people like that anymore.

nob head!
Thanks for the rant - I enjoyed it!
I do think life was more straight forward before FB. One had to try rather harder to ignore someone - blocking a friend on FB is a pretty cowardly way to say 'you pissed me off'. If you really wnated to say taht before FB you had to say it! Or sulk of course. In fact it seems like a big old sulk at not getting his way.
Tell him to shove his car up his ar*e!

Lolz the thought had crossed my mind but I know some ladies don't like it. I personally use it loads and think it often fitted people's behaviour.

Chinese... *drool*
My local has live music on Friday and Saturday nights and the band pulled out last night, so boyfriend and his mates stood in, they asked me to sing a couple of songs and I got a little share of the cash

Re: What's On Your Mind?
that sounds fab Laura! break a leg (or what ever you musical types say )
went to a fancy dress party/gig last night - was fun. Slightly worried by how much I loved the OTT 80's eye makeup. I've always been a neutral colours kinda girl but this could be changing, especially the eye liner, oh the eyeliner is just fab! - lol
Might take my neglected bike down to the river. I don't like cycling but figure should be okay down a tow path.

Haha thanks!
I went to an 80's themed open mic night a few weeks ago, I was definitely loving my excessive electric-blue glittery eyeshadow way too much.

I only did a couple of numbers, Adele and Alanis Morrisette so I only got a little share of the takings, but I went out with more than I had when I went in so I'm happy.

woohoo. I'm very impressed I've never had the courage to sing in public. Speaking infront of a room makes me shake so I dread to think waht my singing would sound like - all wavery. And that's if I managed to get anything other than a squeek out before sobbing or peeing myself in fear;)

I love blue eyeliner, and eyeshadow and despite being far too old for it I wear it anyway! I just wish that even with all these new fangled makup formulas I could find eyeliner that would stay inside my eyes rather than drifting down my face within 10 minutes. The last one I bought in Navy - supposed to be long lasting and water proof - by the time I got to work I looked like I had two upsidedown black eyes! Any tips girls?

I hope you're enjoying your Chinese shoppingaddict and well done on the gig Laura. I love singing but I'm too shy to sing in public.

Well as I'm going to be around work people I'm trying to find appropriate sports wear that doesn't show cellulite or camel toe. As my separated from birth person can you advise please?! Lol
