congrats!
My mate who is getting wed to his gf of 5 years in August - still has a single FB status. I've mentioned it to him several times and he states quite seriously that updating FB is a big step and he doesn't want to upset the apple cart by making a fuss on FB...
LOL if I were him I would just wait and update it after the wedding day.

Re: What's On Your Mind?
Today has been super busy and I am feeling really drained- didn't even eat a proper lunch today (I love food lol) actually struggling to stay awake. Looking forward to my day off tomorrow, not looking as forward to working at my old office on Wednesday.

Re: What's On Your Mind?
I'm totally gutted. I need to get uni work done so I've booked three days off work this week to get it done. And I've just watched the weather forecast and its going to be scorching hot!! Bollocks.
How much college work is going to get done now?!!! Urgh

I am debating whether it's worth applying for a secretarial position at an estate agent.
My appearance will probably be an issue *sigh*

They can't discriminate like that! Worth a go. If you are the best for the job you'll get it!
Re: What's On Your Mind?
Personally I'd rather deal with someone with the confidence not to conform to what Joe Public deems as appropriate than with a limp faceless suit. Apply, there's nothing to be lost here!

Re: What's On Your Mind?
I'd agree with Loola - I'd rather deal with someone who looks like themselves and is confident. It also shows a level of honesty about who you are - and honesty is seriously lacking in the estate agent world - the estate agents needs you.

"We receive an extremely high number of applications every week and we may not be able to respond to each one."
Sigh.

Re: What's On Your Mind?
they were talking about blood donation on This Morning and I googled my blood type. It is fascinating stuff, so many theories out there. Who knew?? - scientists can't explain the negatives or don't want to (depending on which theory you read...) one theory explains me being a veggie. Fascinating.
What did we do without the internet?
Should do some work now I guess.

I made flapjacks to take to sailing this morning. Unfortunately there were quite a few left over and I have no willpower!

Heading off for a 'Busy Bath'. You know, the ones that involve washing hair, shaving legs & pits, exfoliating, pumicing feet etc. etc. so that instead of feeling relaxed when you emerge you're actually knackered. And then you have to dry hair, moisturise, deodorise, perfume.......

Re: What's On Your Mind?
I hate busy baths, so I try and focus on one or two areas every time feet once a week, legs/other areas (ahem) a couple of times a week depending how fast my hair grows back! Pits every time, hair wash every time, general washing every time I hate baths where everything needs doing lol

He, he, I managed to resist completely! Not so sure my resolve will be as strong today though. The day has already started badly - OH has snapped his front tooth again.LoolaBeanbag wrote:Best go easy on the Lipmanns then Baba!Babafette wrote:Just back from seeing my neighbour and feeling a bit merry after some wine.

Re: What's On Your Mind?
I have a document to hand in on Friday that I have been sitting on for a month. By that I mean I've not started it, I think it's all crap and pointless. So I'm swearing at my computer in the hope it writes itself.
I'm kind of bored of saying things to be told I am wrong or its a no, to then have my words repeated to me as a new idea. It's sad as most people know what I've been saying along. Has to a job I like doing somewhere out there *sigh*
