Lusted after this for ages after seeing some manis on here using it! I bought one and I've just been trying to use it but I'm having all kinds of problems, the engraving doesn't seem deep enough and when I scrape the polish away lots of it comes out of the grooves as well? And I can't get the image to pick up very well either.

Just wondering if anyone else with this plate had problems like these or if you can give me some tips for using it as I desperately want to get it right!

This always happens with the images that have large open space where the polish needs to stay on the plate, i.e. the corner bit of the butterfly image. I've probably not explained that very well. You'll notice that the thinner lines are ok, its the big area in the corner where you struggle. You need to scrape more gently than you usually would, but even then you'll end up with some bald bits. That's ok, you can fill it in afterwards with a little brush. As long as you get the outline of the stamp.

I could only get the thin lines to stamp properly so I filled the tips in as I would a french mani, if that makes sense.

You've got to be so gentle - glide rather than scrape hard over the big areas. Even then it takes a bit of practise, it took me maybe 3 manis to get a great result.
