I'm having great fun. Working on a set of Hobbit ones at present. If they sell its a bonus, if not it's keeping me occupied hehe

pulliptears wrote:Well, I've taken the plunge and opened an Etsy store. There are some shocking examples of custom nail art on there at £10+ a time so I'm hoping at £7 a set I might sell the odd one. It's an experiment if nothing else and cheaper than eBay
I've also just completed a set of Dr Who nails!

I shall
I'm working on some Halloween themes at the moment to try and grab that market. I've got nothing to lose really as I had the stock of false nails so may as well use them up
Finished a set of Hobbit nails which I adore this morning

I love the footie, we did have season tickets but with Steve working so far away now it became a bit impractical.
As for payment, I've told you, you're my guinea pig so postage will do. You may hate them yet anyway!
Re: Clawesome....

Re: Clawesome....
Playing catchup a bit here, I've been stupidly busy and quite ill this last 2 weeks so things have been sliding a little.
Firstly, xoxo, I haven't forgotten the nails, I have started them but not had chance to finish because my Etsy store has been amazingly busy! I put a few sets on ebay and a few on etsy and have actually ended up having to make up a lot more because people are buying them (and loving them thank god!)
I'm currently in the middle of making up another 5 sets of potter nails to ship out.
On top of this, Dominic Monaghan who played Merry in Lord of The Rings tweeted a pic of my LOTR nails which caused my twitter to implode and people from the USA wanting to know which salon I worked in and could they book an appointment......when I'd come down from the ceiling I found my orders springing to life with people contacting me directly and via twitter and the blog.
So, mad few weeks all round really! Did make up a quick new set which were more for fun this afternoon, I have a horrible histories obsession and I've always thought the Georges would make fab nails.

Hey pulliptears! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Good to see you back, sorry to hear you haven't been well.
I was wondering how your Etsy store was doing as I noticed you haven't been around for a while - it sounds like things are going very well indeed! Well done.

Re: Clawesome....
Awww thank you
I was actually making 'The Snowman' nails. I sat all afternoon hand painting them and used a new W7 topcoat on them which for some reason bloody cracked all the paint. Never had that problem before but it reacts to the paint. had to start again
