I could really kick myself!! Ebay drama
So as you know I'm into my beauty products at the moment. I've been lusting after the new Urban Decay 3 pallet and I made the fatal error of buying it from ebay. Of course it arrived today and its a fake.
This is what I should have got

I've put a complaint in to ebay. We'll see what happens. When I get my money back I'm just gonna buy the real thing.

That is really bad, the colours aren't even close to the real thing! Hope you get your money back.

Never buy expensive make up on eBay.
I think they take counterfeit goods quite seriously, so you should be fine. x

I think the tin is real but the plastic inner has been changed. The picture on the listing even had the proper colours.
Did they honestly think I wouldn't notice??!!

I know, I know, it was there, I bid. I won't do it again. Consider my lesson learnt!!

I'm amazed at what they try and pass off as legit sometimes!

As soon as I paid I knew I'd done the wrong thing. I went through their feedback and had sold one earlier on in December. Its a shame I can't contact that person to let them know it is probably fake.
Re: I could really kick myself!! Ebay drama
You'll definitely get your money back, they're very strict re fake stuff. And you won't have to send it back, ebay will ask you to bin it.
It's getting worse and worse ebay, you don't seem to be able to trust anyone on there now. I hardly use it now.

I got fake benefit & contacted Trading Standards and they came and fetched it for testing.
I told the supplier to hopefully put the wind up them!

Due to escalate case tomorrow. She sent me a message this morning asking if I'd sent it back! I said no. Gonna escalate it tomorrow and see what eBay say.
Re: I could really kick myself!! Ebay drama
Ebay may take the sale of fakes seriously, but if you spot an item on there that is clearly a fake (a bottle of OPI in a shade never made for example, like a grass green with shimmer, or a pink and black glitter) they just ignore your report. Tossers. I hate eBay. (But use it, obviously!)

Humm so eBay don't really care it's a fake and have just sent me a prepaid label to send it back to her then I'll get my refund. And she'll sell it on again to some other sucker.
Re: I could really kick myself!! Ebay drama
Contact Urban Decay, contact Trading Standards, tell ebay to eff off!

It's illegal to knowingly send counterfeit goods through the post. Let paypal/ebay know you're not willing to break the law.

Sometimes I think eBay is just not worth the hassle anymore. I bought a Models Own polish at the weekend and was rather confused when I received a parcel this morning which turned out to be..............a second hand men's Ralph Lauren t-shirt. No doubt I'll now have to post it back and wait for a refund.

What?! I seriously hope she just addressed two parcels incorrectly!
Re: I could really kick myself!! Ebay drama
Yeah. An innocent mistake I suppose but a complete pain in the backside as I now have to go to the Post Office, forward it to the correct buyer and wait for the postage cost to be refunded to me. The polish was only 99p.......shoppingaddict wrote:Babafette wrote:Sometimes I think eBay is just not worth the hassle anymore.
