Color Club, no idea of its name. It's a goldy silver and very brush strokey but quite nice - I don't really mind brush strokes.

This week I'm sporting a gel manicure as a base in 'rock royalty' and the GOSH holo stamped on top. I've always had real mixed results with stamping so rather pleased with this result.

Wowsers, that's absolutely gorgeous.
Before I read underneath I tried to see which colour was the base and which was stamped - the stamping is so sharp and well done it was really hard for me to tell. I have a bottle of the Gosh holo and the effect is nowhere near as strong as on yours, hardly there at all really - or maybe I'm not doing it right?!!!

Small world! I'm actually a Dover girl born and bred :-)
Thanks for the comments. My stamping has always been iffy - it doesn't help that my nails are wider than a lot of the designs!
I don't love the longevity of the gels because I love variety but they're great for stamping as I can remove the stamps if I make a total hash of it with non acetone remover but still have the gel underneath. I had a bit if time this evening so I could experiment a bit with colours/designs before committing. Plus if it all went horribly wrong, I had nice nails for work - it's a win win!!
This is one of my best experiences with stamps and the first time I'd used the gosh holo - very impressed. I have some Layla hols winging their way to me from Sally magpies so let's see what I manage next!!

Yup, small world indeed! I'm originally from Plymouth but came here years ago with my parents because my Dad was at the Paper Mill.
I have wide nails too and have found the cheeky plates from Amazon work well as the designs are bigger. I also have a Layla Holo which is far superior to my Gosh one - I'm after the silver one from Sally Magpies (and maybe the Emerald too..)!
I hadn't realised that you could take the design off a gel base - are all gels a UV lamp job though? I love the shiny finish but I don't think I'm quite ready to invest in serious kit, I'm a happy amateur with 6 live in time constraints/small people!

Thanks for the tip on the cheeky plates. I've used Konad and Bundle monster but find they're often too small for my nails. Will go off and investigate that idea.
With the gels, you do need a uv/LED lamp. I bought the red carpet manicure from the shopping channel and got it on 3 easy payments to spread the cost. Plus you get the 30 days to try it out. It's costing me £26 a month but have done 3 manicures with it since buying it and made £60 so can't be bad! It's actually on 4 easy payments at the moment:

The polishes that go with it are a bit pricey at £12.95 a bottle but I've found there's a range that works well from ebay at £3.99 a pop so I'm a happy bunny! It won't replace my proper polish but it makes a nice change when I'm busy

Re: What are you wearing today?
I tried water marbling tonight, so I have four fingers of one hand marbled (kind of) in dark blue, turquoise and neon purple. The other nail and the other hand is solid shades of the marble colours with different dotty patterns. Strange combo, but I cocked the marbling up and couln't face repainting in white and starting again on the hashed nails so I improvised...It's erm..... different.
Husband was fascinated with the whole marbling milarkey and was blobbing polish like a man posessed. It was hugely entertaining but not particularly successful.

I bought the soft touch gold - I really like it, it's hard to describe but I'd call it a fizz rather than an in your face sparkle. It's quite sheer and can be built up in a few coats but one coat could be used as a top coat which looks similar to the effect that some the more expensive brands offer. I'd like to get the silver and them layer together.
I'm water marbled again today, but this time I had much more success, I used OPI Planks alot and Goldeneye with Avon sequinned turquoise all over a white base. It took longer than I anticipated (I tried a few colour combos out on snapped off nails from wheels first) and I didn't get finished until 1 ish last night I think it was worth it though, I can't stop admiring my handiwork today!! (so modest..!)

Re: What are you wearing today?
It took three coats but it dried so quickly! Love it.
Urgh, I wish I could water marble! I've seen that rio sell a kit for about £25 which has got good reviews and I keep thinking about it, but I've got too many untrieds to get through first!!

Jeez, I can't get it to upload onto here (I've not done this before) but you may be able to see it here if it works. Sorry about the messy cuticles if it does!!
